I just got The Trial by Kafka on kindle, once im done with studying I look forward to reading this. Haven't read anything by him yet.

Good stuff. Try to find a compilation of his short stories. Some of them are fantastic.

I will, I can get them on kindle too. The 'books' ( i still have a hard time acknowledging them as such ) on Kindle are dirt cheap too, the trial was three bucks

A lot of Classic lit is available for very cheap. Sometimes free.

Yeah you can get some good cheap books on amazon. 7 Pillars of wisdom was 16$ in my local bookshop but i got it for 99c on amazon...

I got Bushido: Soul of Japan for a quarter. Some Alan Quatermain for 10 cents. And a bunch of Doyle for free.

Indeed. I can't read for extended periods of time on Kindle/Internet/whatever. It loses its personality.

Is it some heavy reading? I'm thinking of reading it, when I start on my last internship. Saw a lecture with Quentin Skinner some months ago and found it a bit interesting.

I think it is not that heavy, read it in french though, so maybe it was less abstruse than the original one.

Finished reading Disappearing Moon Cafe by Sky Lee, superb book, talks about early Chinese immigrants in Canada and their struggles, the structure of the book is what really makes it special. Definitely a book I'd recommend to anyone.

Reading Au Bonheurs des Dames by Emile Zola, really really good book! Talks about the early big markets in France, and follows the life of a saleswomen.
