I think you guys are drawing way too many conclusions from the Confederations Cup, Italy isn't Milan, some fancy cup in the off-season isn't their most important competition. De Rossi was a good example of that, had a big role in two of the goals, but played so poorly most of the game, that everyone started asking questions whether Italy have another DM option. In the WC I expect him to be another player, like he usually is in big tournaments. On the other hand, De Sciglio was underwhelming, that guy had everything to prove unlike most of the team.
