Italy always, always do this.

I don't know if they underrestimate opponents like Japan...or if its something else.

I expect a competitive match against Brazil, regardless of what this match shown.

I don't buy this anymore. It changed with Prandelli and he was obviously frustrated. I'm a bit worried about that.

Oh, I thought you meant they weren't tired. The team is build around Juve players and they've played a lot of games the last two seasons. There are other factors, but I think that's the main one.

Today, our players fucked up, but they also secured the win.
Don't get me wrong that makes sense, but then why do other top nations (Spain, Brazil, Germany) with many players that also play many games a season at the highest level in competitive leagues not also experience this problem?

Also, Japan is a solid, respectable side in my opinion. I don't see why they would ever be underestimated.

"Italy allways play like shit against weaker opponents".

If the old saying should be true, Italy would've drawed the first game and struggled against Mexico - it was the opposite.
What do you think the reason is then?

Because I certainly don't know what's wrong anymore.

Exactly. It's getting to the point where I don't know who or what to blame anymore. This squad is capable of performing very well as we've seen, but they are just so inconsistent in their results, this can't keep happening.

But I'm happy at least we are on to the next round, or else I would have been upset all of tomorrow for my birthday :p.

My happiness from the Azzurri winning was short lived when I heard James Gandolfini passed away.

IM with you... this showing was not because of overconfidence... it was because they were playing like crap and outplayed by japan for real,

Dont fool urselves.....If italy gets to the finals for "revenve against spain"..... expect a pummeling much worst than the euro.

This italy team is very shitty when they want to.

It's been like that since I've been watching (~20 years) I don't think it will ever change.
