Simply love the guy. At some point we'll hit a rough spell this I am aware of, I am not deluded to think everything is going to be the land of milk and honey forever. But he's earned it, no one is going to say a bad word about him, the support he gets from our fan base right now is formidable. We've not felt such a close connection to a manager since Mourinho 2004-2006.

Yeah the work he did at Milan is nothing short of exceptional. As was last season's QF finish and this season's attractive football. Really blows what Simeone did at ATM and Conte did at Juve, Italy and now Chelsea out of the water.



If we are being honest, Allegri surpassed expectations on his first season with us and thats is. That achievement (which was truly great) is what most of us build our admiration of him on.

Everything else he did ranges from disappointing (losing scudetto to us as a Milanista) to just meeting expectations (last season and probably this one).

Allegri led a Milan that finished 3rd in 2010 to a scudetto over treble winning inter, then got them to CL places the year after they lost the scudetto to us (several injuries to key players and not as good depth as we have now greatly helped tbf), after they lost literally half their squad (the good half) and replaced them with no one basically. then took a Juve team that went out in EL SF to a CL final only after one year. Amazing job.

Conte surpassed expectations with us in the 1st season (dat Coppa final tho), 2nd and 3rd season everyone expected us to win (Coppa QF vs Roma was an acceptable defeat since we had some injuries and played away but should have beaten Lazio in 2013 when we conceded in the last minute). in Europe he is 1/2. NT again met the expectations of qualifying and reaching the QF. with Chelsea is certainly doing something great and hes doing it his way with a new formation and all (but lets also not forget most of these players were convincing champions only 1 and some year ago).

Not gonna go into Simeone again as I already said what I had to say last 3-4 times when I wrote how much they spent over the last few years and how many star attackers they had

They had Falcao, then had Falcao & Costa, then Costa & Villa, then Griezmann & Mandzukic, midfield, defense and GKs (lets not list all the great players they have/had now). Simeone is obviously doing a great job but it's Atletico management that deserves the real praise here for assembling a great team season after season.

As for Conte, what achievements did I downplay? I merely showed to Hist that there is a different way to look at things, other than his where everything Conte and Simeone do turns to gold and Allegri fails more often than he succeeds

I never said Allegri fails more than he succeeds. I also never said he is not a great coach. Saying he doesnt surpass expectations as often as Conte and Simeone do is not the same as saying he is poor. If I considered them to be the minimum standard of being a top coach, then there wouldnt be any other top coaches. To me they are the highest over achievers not the lowest.

As for Atletico, there is no doubt their management is brilliant. But Simeone is getting the absolute maximum out of that squad. If Allegri's best achievement is reaching the final with us, Simeone did that twice with a lesser team, and a harder route to the final while staying neck to neck with Madrid and Barca in the league.

Also, you can't criticize Simeone for ugly tactical football when you are a Juve fan. We generally arent an attractive football team.. and this season we took the ugliness and boredom to a new level. Simeone does ugly football more effectively than we do and with a lesser squad. And again that doesnt mean that he is God and Allegri is shit.


And by the way I didnt start liking Conte after he left. I was a huge fan since his first season with us and was disappointed when he left. Also, my view of Allegri has radically improved since he joined us not the other way around.

both overachieved in 2 seasons, Simeone in 14 and 16 and Conte in 12 and now. other than that, when else? finishing 3rd in LA Liga with the (by far) 3rd strongest squad is no overachievement. going out in CL QF with a top8 team is no overachievement. so 2 seasons in which Simeone overacheieved when he won La Liga and got them to CL final (the only top teams he beat was the worst Barca 2009-now and a Chelsea that had Mourinho for few months only) and last seasons CL run over Barca and Bayern (thanks to clueless Pep and all the luck of this world). Conte when he won the scudetto with a top3 team in the league (and no CL football) and now with Chelsea (im not following EPL but they are
what, top5 name wise? cant be lower than 5 for sure). certainly no miracles but simply overachievements that happen more often than you think.

Simeone is coaching Atletico for 5 seasons, Allegri is here for 2 seasons, so unfair bringing up number of CL finals. a fair comparation would be looking at what they did since Allegri took over Juve, so 1 CL final each with similar amount of money spent and meeting expectations in the league (3rd palce for ATM, 1st place for us). when Allegri came we just got back from a season in which we ended in EL SF. with Morata, Pereyra, Evra and Romulo as the main signings he transformed the team into a CL finalist (could and should have been winners if Pogba got that penalty). winning the scudetto was nothing spectacular obviously as it was expected from us to do so. still, if you go back to some threads before both his seasons here, youd see people doubting us winning the title (an argument you like bringing up often) and if you go to November 2015 youd see people already gave up on us winning the scudetto when we were 12 pts off top (were you one of them, cant remember?). how do you call that?

yeah it doesent matter when you became a Conte fan, im not the one accusing you of such things either, others did that. i like both coaches but dont like underrating Allegri and overrating Conte which some people (not necessarily you) like to do

We disagree on whether Allegri is better than Conte or the reverse and I doubt that will ever change. Your position about this is sensible imo even if I disagree with it. For some reason I thought I was replying to Dai... you are right you never accused me of such things nor do you complain about Simeone's quality of football. So my apologies.

That's the tourist visa. You can apply for that "just in case", but you would not have to go to your native country to secure it. You can get that in the UK.

In this case it is about the working visa. You can't apply for that unless The Minister of State for Employment had already received the paperwork necessarily to start the employment process.

English media reckon he's coming to EPL with Chelsea as front runners for his signature. Rumour is he favours a move here.

So what I am trying to say is that it seems that one club in particular has sent the paperwork already and all the signs indicate it's Chelsea the club in matter. They are probably rushing this because of the upcoming holidays and want the paperwork to be done before that and have the player sign in the early days of the January transfer window.

If he can keep the players motivated and he doesn't lose motivation himself like he did at Juve then he will be there for as long as he wants. He will have a lot of money to spend and be able to bring in the players he wants which he was not able to do so much here due to financial restrictions at the time.
