all fair play insures is that you only spend what you make, with very little room for debt, but it doesnt take into account debt prior to implementation of FFP
I can understand his point of view.
Look at it this way. He has been winning the title three years straight, in the same club, same environment. The only challenge that is left for him is champs league. But in his mind, champs league must be won with MONEY and he do not see the management having the ability nor mindset to spend. As such, he decided to leave.
TBH, I think that he may be wrong about the money part because just look at how athletico managed to reach the final. Perhaps he just isnt prepared to devote so much like DiegoSimeone
