That may very well be the truth, but it's still a ridiculous amount to spend on him. The price tag + wages could almost land us Falcao or Cavani, which I think we all agree is a better transfer.

Injury phrone he was but when was the last time he was seriously injured. and that in a harder (psychical and more games) league.
we all fap on pirlo (who was injury phrone also). I knew we would never get him. But van Persie would be a dream signing for this current juve.

Quag 11 m and 2 m a season for 5 year contract = 21m
matri 18m and 2 m a season for 4 year contract = 26m
bendtner and borrielo loan + salary for the time being here 3m
giovinco 11m for his half (sold for 3m) so 8. 2m a season for 4 year contract = 16m
vucinic 15m and 3m a season for 5 year = 30m
total
21 + 26 + 3 + 16 + 30 = 96 m
maybe not perfect but for sure we spend around 80 m on striker we have now
and we could had got quag and van persie for the same money
