Nice to see you posting here again, Abu. :)

Heading to Chennai in a few hours for a week-long training program organized by my employer. Other than staying in a fancy hotel for free, free food n drinks, bit of partying and some learning, I'm looking forward to spending more time with this girl I met a few weeks ago. :weee:

So, free fancy hotel, free drinks a bit of partying and some casual rape? Sounds like a ballz out time.

You have a rape center? Great. Let me grab my Raping shoes and we'll make a night of it.
Clearly you haven't been to their fantastic Rape Hall of Fame wing either.

So I get back from a weekend around Monterey, CA -- noting how I strike up random conversations with strangers far more often there than I do in a place like SF, where everyone seems so uptight and defensive by comparison. I was reminded why on my morning hike.

On my route through the park, I came across a guy with his high-powered binoculars mounted on a tripod at a hilltop -- facing south as the sun was rising. I asked him if there was anything interesting to look at. (I was expecting some kind of bird.) Turns out he had his sights on a comet. I look through his binocs and see a glowing star-like object that doesn't look like any of the comets I've ever seen. So he starts telling me about how NASA doesn't tell us about these ones. And then, of course, he gets into how the moon landing was a hoax.

Hence I was reminded why people in SF don't start up conversations with strangers. You just can't escape da RUS...
