I think the only problem was Perrota. Pirlo played excelent! IMO the MOM!

De Rossi played really well too, but perrota doesn't. I didn't like anything about him. I prefer 100 times more Camoranesi. Imo that's the only problem in the midfield...

iight ya got my back homie........here is what lippi said after the game

LIPPI:"GOOD MATCH WE
PLAYED WELL" COMPLIMENTS
FROM BLATTER: "ITALY HAS
PLAYED THE BEST FOOTBALL"
Hannover 12/06/2006

Marcello Lippi kept his promise. He had said that the Italy on the field would be a good one and it was. "We played well - said the head coach after the 2-0 win against Ghana in the debut match for Italy in Germany 2006. The impact with the World Cup is always difficult, but we were better than them in many aspects and we proved it. We have various reasons to be happy since in addition to the two goals we hit a goalpost and the crossbar….It was a positive evening for the result and for the way we played. I am happy for the players, they deserved this satisfaction. Totti? I told him that he would have been substituted in any case - said Lippi with a smile. I was going to substitute him because I was happy with how he played and I wanted to give the team some balance. The foul on Totti was a little hard, but it is a good sign that nothing serious happed. Now - said Lippi - we have to concentrate on the match against the United States because we want to go as far as possible".

Lippi is not the only one happy with how Italy played. In fact, the Azzurri received compliments from the FIFA president, Blatter: "The National Italian team - said Blatter - played the best football that I have seen in these first matches of the World Cup."

Italy had started off the day with a message sent by the president of the Republic, Napolitano, to the CONI president, Petrucci, and the extraordinary commissioner of the FIGC, Guido Rossi.

what do you think against Czech Republic?

of course the midfield must be more creative

did u watch the game they are a good team......2 goals, 1 post, 1 crossbar, 11 corners......about 6 quality chances, their goalie made a couple of good saves

Ha ha

its ghana ,,, lets see if you can say that against Nedved and his friends !

No way,, the midfield was awful last night
The midfield(part of the team which I feared the most) did the job properly...and one more thing,I can't remember when I saw a quality counter attack from Italy...till this game, there were several extra counter attacks, thanx to the midfield and the "Grosso-Zaccardo" movements over the flanks.
