Marcello Lippi kept his promise. He had said that the Italy on the field would be a good one and it was. "We played well - said the head coach after the 2-0 win against Ghana in the debut match for Italy in Germany 2006. The impact with the World Cup is always difficult, but we were better than them in many aspects and we proved it.
