What part of my post are you talking about? If it's not possible to choose the lesser of two evils in this case, what's the alternative for you? To not vote at all? What is it going to change and in what way would it be beneficial? One of the two evils will be elected regardless of your participation. If that's your stance, well it's exactly what is wrong with my nation. And since what's wrong with my nation is more critical than what's wrong with your nation, I win.

Unless you clearly know what would have happened if McCain had been elected which I'm really interested to know how.

The whole "lesser of two evils" bit is exactly why nobody should vote for an establishment party. It confirms that both parties are indeed "evil". At the end of the day, both the Democrats and Republicans perform felatio on their big money owners; or in other words, those who couldn't give a rat's ass about this nation. US banksters don't care about the US, neither do foreign banksters, and neither do those with some sort of socialist or fascist agenda. All of these folks simply conspire to enrich themselves and will put a bullet in our heads to do so.

The proof is in the pudding. Both parties support the Patriot Act and the undermining of the US Constitution, both parties do NOT prosecute anyone whatsoever in the banking industry (as seen by the investigations into Corzine's MF Global, or market manipulation in equities/commodities/mortgage derivatives by Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, et cetera... one can go on and on), both parties support the Federal Reserve and all of its destruction of the financial stability of the middle class, and most importantly, neither of the parties want the individual to prosper.

I couldn't care less what happens to Iran at this point, apart from an attack from IsraHell which will cause an economic calamity.

but see you're deriving the wrong conclusion here, the conclusion is the idea of the USA, or any other nation for that matter, is the biggest scam of them all. This patriotism was and is still used to convince the masses to fight for the interests of the few and justify their trespasses. Invoke red white and blue, the troops, and of course OUR freedom and the scores of people jealous of it and you have the crowd in a trance. Only thing left to realize here is that you are simply on your own.

Most conservatives defend Keynes is some form as well. Whether by passing a stimulus package in the last day of office or generally going along with the status quo. It's not really a liberal or conservative thing. It's an establishment thing.

You are definitely spot on in your last sentence. However, we certainly do not live in a perfect world where governments need not exist, so we're stuck with them. And since that is the reality, we are forced to participate in the making and scrutinization of the government. At least to me, when I see a government that applies laws on anybody but themselves and their donors, that is a criminal government that has failed and impossible to revive. So therefore, the smaller the government, the better. Get out of our lives and go to hell.

You need to compare with the Eurozone, not Europe.

And I can tell you that the Eurozones debt is smaller than both US and UK in terms of GDP ratio.
