What Volvos weigh 15,000lbs?
Whew. At least we're not talking about 15,000lb vulvas.
I think I saw one of those by accident once. Swam up to a nude beach here in the States and thought it was an eclipse that was blocking out the sun. Then what I saw in the shade made me blind in both eyes....
the culture of taiwan has been attached to mainland China for hundres of years, even now most of people lives there are immigrators from the mainland and the local aborigines become minority and their social status are no better than American indian. the German reunification would be the best example for the both parties
Culture is insufficient cause for a common political leadership. Ask Northern Ireland about that one.
the sub base was built in my hometown, where is more than 1000 miles away from india, Japan and Korean are more qualified than india to ask themselve this question, but have they?
I don't know. I only went to India this month; I didn't go to Japan or Korea.
let me explain to you why I dont think India would not be as strong as China in a long period
All I know is that China's recent riches are heavily based off manufacturing, which is notoriously fleeting as an economic base. There was a time where everything was jokingly called "Made in Japan" in the West, which became "Made in Taiwan", which is now "Made in China". It's just the latest in a long line of successors and won't fuel the economy for too long without China needing to switch to other industries to remain viable. Part of that due to the terrible pollution build-up, another part due to the next economically inexpensive country that will leech China of its manufacturing base.
Basically, China is the world's Detroit right now. (I know Andy would take offense.

) And every Detroit in history couldn't hold on to its manufacturing dominance for too long before someone poorer and hungrier came in to undercut them.
India, on the other hand, has an economic boom that seems largely fueled by the services sector and information economy. Both have proven to be pretty sustainable economic engines in countries when the manufacturing base has long since dried up and shipped off to the next country, be it Japan, Taiwan, China, Brazil, Africa, etc.
So short term: China is burning really bright. But longer term, for all the reasons of economic, environmental, and political sustainability, my money is on India ultimately becoming the bigger economic force in a few decades.
