Think I can tell you the reasons 
1. The internet here is almost unusably bad. Many overseas sites simply aren't reachable and even the ones that are, are very, very slow. Must be their uber censorship router filtering everything coming into the country.
2. Horrible Mandarin. A properly educated mainland Chinese person speaks beautiful Mandarin, I have to admit. Unfortunately, most Chinese people aren't well educated and they speak horrendous Mandarin.
3. Simplified writing is an abomination. It's as if one day the American government decided that not enough people are literate so they decide to adopt text messaging shortcuts as the national written language "cuz it's EZer 2 Lern."
4. Chinese people have absolutely no concept of waiting in line. It's just one manifestation of the general lack of curtesy here. I've never met a population of people that exhibited such rudeness. It's all part of the lack of education that I mentioned before.
5. Pollution. And I include with this not only the horrible air pollution, but noise pollution as well. The constant honking on the streets slowly drives me insane as I walk around the city. I know this isn't just Chinese, it happens in many other places, but man, they love to honk here. Car horns. Bicycle horns. Police whistles. It's non-stop noise everywhere.
6. If the honking doesn't drive you mad, the cacaphony of people hocking up phlegm will do it. Maybe it's the horrible air quality, but why do Chinese people have so much phlegm????
7. Chinese people love to yell. You'll usually find at least one or two people on every block angrily screaming at someone about something or other.
8. Food generally speaking is horrible here. The hygiene is low-to-non-existent and the culinary skills are seriously lacking as well. I wouldn't be caught dead eating anything from a street vendor in China. You can get food poisoning just by looking at them. Speaking of restaurants, the quality of service in China stinks as well. Due to the cheap labor, the ratio of the waiters to customers is frequently 2-to-1. Yet most Chinese wait staff have no idea how to properly wait a table.
9. Bad architecture and design. Chinese people's concept of good architecture is a building with a faux european renaissance look with a lot of gold trimming, hopefully with a fancy top. Driving around Shanghai, you'll notice that almost every building has some sort of "hat" on top.
10. Too many instances of dirty old men paired with hot young things. It's just disgusting and sad. I know there are sugar daddys all over the world, but it's literally all over the streets here. You can't turn around without seeing an old man with a pretty young girl.
However I think China deserve some sympathy for these reasons:
1. The Cultural Revolution was a 40-year-long setback. Putting it in perspective, that's one-fifth of America's history. During those 40 years, not only the country had completely ceased to progress, it had sabotaged and desecrated some of China's most valued traditions (teachings of Confucianism, traditional Chinese writing, etc.).
2. Communism is actually helping China. Do realize that the Chinese government has the obligation to lead 1.3 billion people to the forefront of international prominance, and since they are mostly uneducated farmers, how could faulty public opinions possibly lead the country down the right path at this moment in time? Plus, what is democracy anyway? I certainly don't see it in America. Over half of the Americans opposed war yet the Bush Administration disregarded what its people think. If that's not dictatorship then I don't know what is.
To me it's true America is definitely better than China for now. But I too think that China is slowly but surely progressing and improving. And as long as America keeps having the mentality that they are the greatest in the world then I'm pretty sure they will not be anymore one day.

Two Olympic Sports
Today the nation of China was removed from competition in two olympic sports. Their removal was based on their having a total unfair advantage. Of course these two sports are "Nationality Least Infected With Chronic Bronchitis While Living in Beijing," and "4x400 International Rice-Patty Picking Competition".
China was eliminated due to their having "doped" their players by having them grow up and live in China. The finalists, no matter the countries, will automatically exclude China.
Excluding China, the ones favored to finish top are as followed in the "Nationality Least Infected With Chronic Bronchitis While Living in Beijing" category: Israel is favored to win due to the common knowledge that Jews do not have lungs, Iran is second because they constantly breathe sand and thus, have strong bronchi. Following in third is the Sub-Nation of Hegha, which has the Helghast competing with total face-covering breathing technology.
Also the betting houses have the "4x400 International Rice-Patty Picking Competition" odds. These are set to have Canada winning due to their extreme penis-sucking ability, they are on their knees so much sucking penises that to be on their knees to pick rice will be little different. Second chosen is the grand country of Burma/Myanmar. They have been under water for such a great amount of time that being only 6 to 8 centimeters underwater to pick rice will be an almost absolute advantage. Third chosen to finish is Georgia. The reasoning behind this country chosen is quite odd. Georgia was claimed by one "Midzata" to be the first country to have water, both running and stagnant, ever. He of course recorded this in 3,000,000 BC. Because of this outlandish claim, Georgia has been picked third to finish in said sport.
