Because Bayern enjoys the power they have. They act like they're some sort of charity group helping the Bundesliga along, but then in the same week take a player like Lewa for free. They enjoy their ability to be able to front run the transfer market in Germany, but a Super League would make it more difficult for them to do that. So they're just thinking about themselves just like everyone else.
Hypocritical team in a joke of a league that has been the least competitive in football for the past decade. And then they cry about the spirit and morality of it

the fuck is this argument? "The conspirator clubs have obviously failed to see that their status today was not achieved in isolation, but rather was part of a dynamic European system where big, medium and small clubs have all contributed to the successes and losses of everyone. It is an affront to European values and sporting merit for them to assume they are entitled to "separate" and lay claim to the legacy that everyone built." Juventus owe nothing to the Lega, FIGC or UEFA, they don't have one leg to stand on.

I am mainly concerned about how aggressive the British media are being to clamp down on these ESL teams and bury the whole project. If all these large conglomerates, governments etc get involved and chime on this 'issue', sooner or later, the cracks will start to appear.
This backlash is unprecedented. And we are in the middle of a pandemic. Just think about it.
While there are quite a few outlets raging, the main one is Sky. They stand to lose out the most if the EPL loses it's charm.

I really think we ought to involve america, give inter miami 300 mil and bring em on board.
Beckham put out a post today about fans being the yada yada.

Surely we will be safe, no? UEFA (and various FAs) are not going to ban their most popular teams. They can't really damage us without damaging themselves even worse.

Even with a UEFA ban the Super League will make billions. For all the bitching, football fans are not gonna boycott these games.
If the SL fails, you just know that all the blame will fall on Agnelli while Perez and the United dude will slip right out the back door.

You are serious? :D I'm serious when I say this is already enough of a farce, lets not jump the shark. Inter Miami are newly created plastic club, inviting them when you already have genuine big clubs who have their spot in this venture questionned on merit, would just be insanely bad move to make right now.
All 12 teams are plastic clubs. This is what detractors don't want to understand. It is a reality that cannot be changed.

This is some fascist bullshit.

You know its a dictatorship when you hear sentences like this: "we are football, they are not".

Putin: "In case of nuclear war, we will go to heaven, they will just perish".

Sorry where does relegation come in to all this?

I keep hearing fans say its a closed league, no relegations etc...

Either people haven't quite understood the concept that this SL is a lucrative rival to the current UEFA competition where there are no relegations just as there aren't in the UEFA competitions or the fact that this does not replace the current domestic league format.

Do you understand the the meaning of a closed league? Its still early days so we dont have all the info, but what is released and CONFIRMED is that this is a closed PERMANENT membership league, meaning no matter what, these 12 clubs keep their spot, no matter how they do on the pitch. Its not meant to replace the league (tho it might need to, if they arent allowed in their leagues), but the CL as you said. But the CL isnt a closed competition, anyone and everyone can qualify on merit, the winners are the richest, but everyone can compete to qualify into it (and 4-5 of current SL clus arent even good enough to qualify to CL...). Football has been money focused venture for 2 decades as is in its current state. But this is just a step too far.

SL is a marketing campaign bussiness venture, that you are invited and cant leave, based on how much money you can make together. 12 permanent members, and 3 unknown ones, plus few per year that will be lucky enough to be invited? And you dont get, how as a football fan, how this is being questioned? Really? They can change it to something else later, who knows, but for now that is whats confirmed, is not something to misunderstand as its presented. This simply about money, pure and simple.

Imagine we were having a great season, top of the league and in semi finals of CL, i reckon the some of the guys who are in support of the SL would be against it. Not gonna deny, our recent demise and embarrasing defeats in UCL have played a part in my opinion on this. I didn't think highly of superleague and the new reforms of UCL for me were just as bad.

Not saying its gonna get better, but we need better players and solid management. I can see in hindsight Agnelli had SL in mind all along, but once we SL, with all that cash, i reallyhope we know a better way to manage it rather than acquiring a bunch of medicore players on high wages.

Of course its about money, for both sides tho; not about some bullshit values that the other side is claiming.

The 12 are more honest at least.
