He does have a right to believe it, that's obvious.

However, some might say that it's irrational to believe in something without evidence.

That's precisely the point of the (fairies/bigfoot/the creature you want) example.
Ah yes, but it only becomes a problem when he says God is Fact, not I believe in God. All beliefs, if espoused, are open to ridicule.

If you truly believed it and truly said you saw it , who am I to disbelieve your senses?
It is the same thing with personal experiences of revelation.

One can say that he talked with God but he has no way of proving that it's true to other people and since he cannot produce evidence that he did, rational people should not believe that that person had a revelation.

It's a simple application of the scientific method and rational thinking.
