The answer is very simple.

We've been told that Juventus doesn't have the money to spend on signings, so overpaying for a player like Kolo Muani and making him the highest-paid player on the team is an unnecessary luxury.

Livepool has money, and overpaying for a player like Writz is a luxury they can afford...

As I said, my problem isn't Kolo Muani. I think he's a good player, but for the same price we're paying for Kolo, we could bring in two or three players to fill the necessary spots on the team.

But we have to many players in all positions but most of them are average..so it is.time to get quality player.
You can see there is no striker in market,every striker costs 50m+.


Kolo has been with us, and he was very good so I think it is a best option for us. And I think it is underated here because of his situation with psg.

We have sold average players,no one wants to buy them. You think that everyone is stupid in our management? If you could be a director in a team would you sign any of weah,mbangula,vlahovic and so on for more than 20m+? I dont think so.

To be honest, Atletico Madrid don't even want to spend what we want for Nico, It is only Simeone that is pushing for him, the club over all have never been overly keen on him, and why would they? they know he's overrated and over priced

Ok it looks Kolo Muani is going to happen but the key difference is that the 60m price tag is split as 5+55. And it looks we will sell Savona >13m. In the fist year, Muani will cost us -18m (5m loan and 13m in gross salary). He would cost us 24m per year in the 2nd year but by then Vlahovic is truly off the books anyway.

So bear in mind. Before the Luiz sale, it was reported by an Italian financial journalist that the economic effect of our activity up to that point was +EU3m.

Since then we sold Luiz. The economic impact of that is +12m (3m loan fee + 9m on his gross salary). So the balance right now would be +15m. You add a Savona sale who earns 2.5m in gross salary and we get a plusvulenza of ~14m - so the economic impact would be +16m.

So +3m + Luiz+ Savona = +31m. Take off -18m for Muani and we are still at +13m. Then take off -8m for Zhegrova (18m over 5 years is 3.6m in amortization at ~4m in gross salary). We still have a positive economic balance of +5m. This is without selling Nico and Vlahovic. So worst case that would be the end of the mercato in that scenario.

I suspect the Muani, Savona and Zhegrova deals will happen first.

Now Vlahovic. A Vlahovic-Saelemakers swap deal would be great for BOTH clubs. If its a Saelemakers +18m for Vlahovic (with Saelemakers valued at 12m). Milan and Juventus would share a Vlahovic termination/sign on bonus to ensure he makes his 12m net for the financial year. Milan would book a plusvulenza on Saelemakers of ~11m and the Vlahovic contract costs them -12 (30 over 5 years + gross salary of ~12m). Juve books a plusvulenza on Vlahovic of 12m and saves us 22m in gross salary. The economic benefit would be huge for Juventus even if we agreed to pay a gross termination fee of 6m. Milan could pay a one off sign on bonus of 6m gross. Saelemakers costs Juve -5m per year (2.5m amortization and 2.5m gross salary which is more than gets at Milan). Milan get their striker at little incremental cost, we benefit hugely financially to reinvest elsewhere and also pick up a player who fills wing back for both sides.

Nico Gonzales if sold at a 2+20m would save us +8m (2m for the loan fee and 6m in saved gross salary).

These deals could have a positive financial benefit of +30-40m. That would allow us to go for a high profile left footed central defender and still be in the black. Hypothetically could add a Calafiori profile defender at 45m with 4m gross salary easily (which would cost 14-15mpa). Of course that is only hypothetically. More realistic we could add Beraldo from PSG at a far lower cost and even add a midfielder potentially.

If Comoli managed to pull all of that off, then I would give a very high rating for this mercato.

Yeh its a lot. However, Savona, Muani and Zhegrova I think it certainly possible. Nico would be last minute depending if the Milan-Saelemakers deal happens. If it doesn't, then a Molina swap for Nico could happen.

Yes we are obviously being pushed towards overpaying due to several factors, but frankly whether its €60M or €70M in total shouldn’t really matter anymore at this stage, point in case is that we need him and we will be a stronger team with him here rather than without…

And as i said in a previous post, it’s not like we’d be saving the difference for anyone better, so wouldn’t stress too much over it.

Overspending for someone who can perform for your club, is forgotten in the end.

Overspending for someone you want to sell the next year is what really hurt the club in years past. So I guess it depends on his performances, as always....

Only part i believe from there is that Napoli tried to go for Vlahovic, but us turning it down is likely to do with their offer being only about half of what it’s rumored there, that’s if they even made an offer and not just a inquiry.

Yeah, i wouldn’t be surprised if we actually turned down a lowball offer from them, but we can 100% rest assured we would have shipped him out to just about anywhere if someone had put even just a bit over €20M on the table.
