When you have a midfield of "Won a World Cup with Germany 5 years ago" Khedira, inconsistent "WC top player" Pjanic, the eternal prospect Bentancur, headless chicken Matuidi, and "still not sure about him" Can, you do everything in your power to bring in Pogba.
Pogba is easily as inconsistent as Pjanic unfortunately.

A midfield 3 of Ramsey-Pjanic-Pogba would be so lazy and careless in so many matches. And so poor defensively.

The only way Pogba and Pjanic works here for me is if we are putting him beside at least one Vidal style player willing to do the dirty work. Not Ramsey.

If we get Ndombele or Saul too, In that scenario, I’d love him here. But not if it means Ramsey-Pjanic-Pogba.

How would you feel about a midfield duo of Pjanic and Ndombele, or a trio of Nodmbele, Pjanic, and Can/Ramsey: Bentancur and Matuidi coming off the bench. You dig?

I do, assuming the Ndombele fans are right about him. He’s looked good when I have watched him but I still haven’t watched him enough.

I’d be fine exchanging Pjanic for Pogba too, as long as we were still getting that Box to box/DM who will put in the defensive work and win balls too. I like Pjanic but Pogba has higher upside in the right situation even if I think he has a fairly toxic personality and presence. In the right team and setting that can be controlled.

We want Icardi Bro. That's toxic. Pogba is like Miller Lite compared to Icardi's Tequila.

Why are you making Pogba, Pjanic and Ramsey out to be 3x Ozils?

Ndombele 60m
Nikola Milenkovic 40m
Chiesa 45m + Cuadrado
Milinkovic Savic 60m. (try to get Rabiot for free if we can first)
Tonali 20m (loan to sassuolo for 1 year)

Dybala and Costa are potentially two excellent pawns that could be sacrificed to bring in cash that would be reinvested promptly. [Romeo Agresti]

Ughh

This means Allegri is staying...

Ideally we should dispose off both Khedira and Matuidi

So Ramsey directly comes in to replace Khedira

And NDombele replaces Matuidi

A midfield of Pjanic, Can, Bentancur, Ramsey and Ndombele will do for next season

That's only 5 -including 2 or arguably even 3 very injury prone players- for possibly 3 positions... That's simply not enough.

Add Rabiot.

I think we need to sign a proper CM, a new striker to get the best out of CR7 as a starter and a back-up CB.

Woj (Perin)
Cancelo (MDS) Bonucci (Manolas) Chiellini (Rugani) Alex Sandro (Spinazzola)
Ndombele(Bentancur) Pjanic (Can) Ramsey (Khedira)
Dybala (Bernardeschi)
CR7 (Cuadrado) Icardi (Kean)

Manolas 36M
Ndombele 70M
Icardi 80M

Out
Mandzukic peanuts
Douglas Costa 60M
Matuidi 20M
Lol at Cuadrado, he's finished.

Yeah, I don't see it either. As much as I wanted Icardi to replace Higuain last summer, that ship has sailed.

Ronaldo can't be the only striker in the box, but IMO he needs a much more mobile player next to him than Icardi. Mario was good most of the year but since he got injured we've seen what a player who doesn't move as much does to our overall play.

Benzema was great with Ronaldo. I believe the right type would be either someone like Suarez or Aguero or Lewandowski who's good on the ball and moves around or someone like Cavani or Kean hopefully who always attacks open space and draws defenders with him and is willing and able to help defensively. Having Icardi and Ronaldo just standing at the center would not be good for us IMO.

Varane would be a great signing - imo currently he is the best CB in the world at the age of 25.
Another one that I really think would fix all our issues in the defense is Koulibaly, other than that - Manolas is a solid replacement/alternative.

Is this Alderweireld any good, like better than eg. Manolas or not? Never watched him or paid attention, and he's not young either (30).

His link-up play is excellent IMO, he has become from a classical poacher to more of a true #9 these last seasons.

Despicable person but I'd say he'd improve us.
Objectively, seeing how much Icardi occupies the box, I can't see how he would fit in with Ronaldo.
Ronaldo as he got older needed more time in the penalty box, so our forwards along him have to sometimes switch sides and drift away into the wings. I can't imagine Icardi being able to do this, especially considering he'd be pretty much shit on a wing imo, neither could he help and pull off players away from Ronaldo during crosses/headers.

Now subjectively, Icardi is a piece of garbage and personally is one of the few players I'd hate to see in our kit. :inter:

Why people think we buying a starting cb lol
I just hope we do, this or at least the next summer. With Chiellini getting older, we just risk turning to a mediocre shit defense having the likes of Bonucci and Rugani, and any other alternative cb that we sign until then.

Having said that - we probably won't sign a world class cb in few years from now.
