Yes I sure hope that is a key part of Paratici's agenda here. Whatever you do don't sign any player from Genoa cause you know... Sturaro.I'm curious, what will take precedence when Paratici has to make good on the Sturaro deal (lol at believing he actually got 18mil for Stu) and signs that Argentine CB from Genoa for 35mil this summer? Will you immediately rationalize out of loyalty to #teamParatici or will you turn on Paratici because of your weird new anti Genoa campaign.
Yeah. I just see our board going more for made in Italy, then players from other leagues, when it comes to such splashes. I think they'll be all over high profile young Italians if they think they have that potential.
Do you see us winning a transfer battle with say PSG, Man City, Barca over De Ligt? Or similar with Ndombele? We don't quite have the same pull or ability to spend blindly yet, regardless of Ronaldo transfer. It will be a couple years before we really see the huge financial boost that Ronaldo will give us.
Unfortunately that means I see us as more likely to go after Barella, Zaniolo, Kouame, Romero, Tonali, Chiesa than guys like De LIgt and Ndombele. Hopefully I am wrong though. Not that I'd be opposed to the former signings, they'd all be great for the future, only maybe not quite enough for the present.

To be honest though, I'd be ok with paying whatever it takes to give us that final piece to win the treble.
Ndombele is a very promising all action midfielder who plays for the only team to beat PSG in Ligue 1 this season. Of course, he's not the finished article yet, but when you see 40 million being mentioned for Zaniolo who has all of 7 starts, and 50 million for Barella who's playing for a mediocre Cagliari side and has 0 experience in European competition, then 70 million for a key player in a team competing for a top 2-3 finish in Ligue 1 and still in the CL knockouts seems fair: especially in an area where we clearly need reinforcements. I'm all for Italian talent, but Barella and Zaniolo are currently one level below Ndombele, and Tonali is probably two tiers below (but he's going to command a fee of 30+ million).

Young, dynamic, and performing a key role for a very competitive team, both in Ligue 1 and the CL. When you hear 50 million for Barella, then 70 million for Ndombele is logical and reasonable.

I'm ok with going after Italian talent, as long as they're good enough. We want the Italian Pogba (if one even exists) or Vidal (one can only dream), not the Italian Khedira.
Zaniolo and Tonali are definitely worth considering. I don't think we need Chiesa, and I'd rather spend the 50 million being touted for Barella elsewhere.
I don't think Ndombele will cost in excess of 80 million, and I'm sure we can convince him to join us. We've always had a strong French contingent and, who knows, maybe if Zidane comes to coach us, we'd be even more attractive for young French prospects, with both Ronaldo and Zizou here.

Tolisso is so 2017 Bro. Prices have become inflated, yet again, since then. I think 50-60 million is fair, but Lyon are tough negotiators. Also, midfield is our Achilles heel at present, so it's better to overpay for someone you need than underpay for scrubs and end up not resolving the issue. We wouldn't have been in this mess had we actually gone for Tolisso and kept one of Pogba or Vidal. We destroyed our midfield, and now we need to do something about it (Khedira is probably done, and Matuidi's gun ho style is great, but at his age wear and tear will catch up to him; he's not a finesse player, and those tend to last longer).

He's a very talented player, and Roma aren't that dumb. Monchi will sell, but he's only going to sell for the right price, and he'd rather sell him overseas.

Tonali I'd take a gamble on I was talking about Ndombele
Ronaldo is 34 and Mandzukic is 32. Cuadrado isn't getting any younger. That leaves us with Berna, Dybala and Kean for the future. I don't think Costa will be around for much longer, and that's why trading Dybala is the dumbest thing we can possibly do, unless we are getting Zaniolo and Mbappe in a package deal. Not even James + Isco are worth sacrificing Dybala for.
Tonali I'd take a gamble on I was talking about Ndombele
i guess ndombélé's price is down to a couple of factors. 1. it's an even more inflated market 2. france won the wc, french players became more expensive in general 3. aulas never was easy to deal with, tolisso was also considered expensive when bayern bought him. btw tolisso offers next to nothing in defense, and that's probably the reason we never bought him. ndombélé is an actual dm who can pass and who's pretty quick in transition play. i saw a couple of lyon matches, and what i liked the most about him is his transition play: he gets the ball, and instantly he's going forward, passing the ball to fekir or the two wingers. with a ndombélé-pjanic-matuidi trio behind him, dybala shouldn't track back to get the ball so often, so i guess he could play a lot higher on the pitch. at first, i was a bit disappointed with ndombélé, because i wanted to see an other pogba, but he's actually grown on me. he's nowhere near the complete b2b beast vidal was, or pogba's potential in the attacking third of the pitch, still a bit raw, but he could already bring much more to juve than tolisso could.
