Fuck midfield, we have ronaldo, that's enough to win 4 titles this season. Adios. Oh and BTW, bentancur can become wc this year.
Our midfield is not horrible but common let's be honest ,
CR7 was not winning the CL by himself.
He had a Modric-Kross-Casemiro behind him in midfield.

Pjanic - Can - Matuidi is not on the same level.

Although i would love to have upgrade in our MF. But our current mini - upgraded one isnt bad, we owned Madrid MF twice but we lost of Ronaldo brilliance. Our MF is very good not great or super, our attack, defence and GK are really super, but MF is very good . definitely SMS or Pogba will make our MF AMAZING but currently we are very good.

The way I see our midfield is that it has a bunch of specialists who are WC or great at certain tasks like Pjanič, Matuidi, it also has some energetic younger players with a lot of experience already in their legs like Bentancur and Can and we also have some oldies who can provide experience and cover like Khedira and Marchisio, but the things these 6 players offer are so similar that it's hard to see them become a functional mid 3.

There's no one technically great enough like Pirlo who could receive the ball with 2 players on him and just deal with it or no one like Pogba who could break the press by bulldozing the ball forward. I don't think we'll have much problems against the small, brutal teams as Matuidi and Can probably love these type of games, but if we face a team with a good midfield like Spurs again, we'll have exactly the same problems as last year.

Our midfield looks fine to me. We signed Emre Can who's a powerful young player. Matuidi is settled and is oozing confidence after the WC. Bentancur has gained great experience from last season and the WC.

And I'd rather keep Pjanic than sell him to buy SMS or Pogba and try to start from scratch.
Son't forget that Marchisio is like a new signing

Obviously we're done. Have a look at our spending vs sales and you know that we're rather in selling mode than buying one.

The club made a huge investment already and brought top class players only this Summer. Just think about it - five players arrived and consider their roles for us in the upcoming season:
CR7 - starter
Cancelo - starter
Bonucci - starter
Can - potential starter
Perin - potential starter

yet we sacrificed nobody from our starters AKA key players. Higuain had to be sold, he wouldn't be a starter anymore. Caldara sold is pretty bad in terms of planning for the future but he wouldn't start for us in the next 2-3 years anyway so we've got time to find someone else by then. The rest are releases of the old-guard players as well as selling kids/unnecessary players. This is a top notch mercato already and obviously one that confirms the club's ambitions. Just offload Sturaro and some kids with recompras and we're ready.

yeah, and how can you expect Juventus make too many pricey transfers? Let's go with one-star-a-season and we're fine. Maybe Pogba/Kovacic/SMS will fall out with their clubs in the next year, will be easier to get them. As for this year, we are fine, let's see how we will do

This is true
We are better than last year
RB CF CB better than last year but our midfield kind of remained the same with the addition of Can who we still dont know how good he is going to be compared to Khedira...
The good thing is that we are definitely way better than last year in terms of defense and attack
The bad thing is that we didnt do enough to strengthen our weakest area (midfield)
Should we get another CM in Pogba/SMS (first is already impossible the second is almost impossible) we would be favorite for the CL

I think we have improved significantly the squad for this season, partly by sacrifing future perspectives. The midfield is not nearly as bad as people think. I think Emre Can will become a very good DM which will allow Allegri to move Pjanic closer to the opponents goal. The big question is whether Matuidi will maintain his WC form. If he does, we are in great shape.

It's wrong to look at the midfield in vacuum without considering the team as a whole. Keeping possession and dominating opponents depends on the whole team being comfortable with the ball and on the manager, not just on the midfield. Allegri needs to work on that because it was by far our biggest weakness last season. Bonucci, Cancelo and Emre Can should help with that and Ronaldo is obviously a massive upgrade on Higuain.

The team is good enough to compete for the CL. Let's see what Allegri does with it.

I said pretty the same ... anyway, mercato will close in next 24 hours for england and another week for the rest and all this opera will ends.

In general our mercato ( if bonucci returned to his level when he was with us) 10/10 what we need more!

But Pogba or SMS , we will be a perfect machine every team in the world will just set back and defend. Playstation kind of Juve 😁😁

And when all else fails, we have Sturaro to lock down those positive draws late in the game. :baus:

PSG have agreed personal terms with both Jérôme Boateng and Alex Sandro but they need to sell players before they can buy because of FFP. (Source: ESPN)

Personally, I would rate the mercato at 9. A 10 would be if we could've sold Higuain straight away without loan and if rugani would've gone instead of caldara.
We can't give less for not signing start midfielder, because there is FFP and balances in mind, we don't have physical abilities to splash another 80m or whatever

I don’t mind selling him , but it’s going to be hard to find proper LB , unless we try to sign ... the goat of LBs .
