We have Danilo who can play CB, he's become one of our most reliable players. Demiral will be remembered for collecting yellows and reds rather than world class defending. For midfield, Danilo can play there too so just leave Pjanic in Spain. Lets finish this first stage then find out if Ronaldo stays because dealing with that will be another level of relaxing meetings.

Getting absolutely shafted by Atalanta once again if the reports that we're selling Demiral to Atalanta on a 3m loan + OPTION for 28m. We loan him for pennies to strengthen a direct league rival, and if he plays like shit or cracks a knee he's back on our wage bill. If he plays great however, he's worth almost double in an instant since he's still young. YOU EITHER SEND HIM ON A DRY LOAN OR OBLIGATION YOU DENSE FUCKS, Cherubini showing instantly how competent he is at running transfers.

So much this.

Then €30m is about right. We can't sell players for €50m because they might be worth it one day lol. Exactly because of the first scenario you mentioned.
That's exactly what clubs like Benfica, Porto, Atletico... have been doing for years.

Are we going for Haaland next summer if CR7 leaves?

I know he will have massive wages, but the transfer fee should be more than reasonable, especially considering his age.
We and the entire of Europe.. The question is who will he choose rather than who choose him...

30m is a perfectly fine sum for him, but LOAN WITH OPTION TO BUY is totally unacceptable! How hard is this to understand? Who here honestly is dense enough to think we did a good deal here?

Calma. We bought one of the most talented wingers in the world on loan+option from Fiorentina last year. This is what Italians do.

Huge chunk of people here would defend every deal that happens, whichever that may be whether it comes to buying or selling. Simply because :gsol: trust our board, they know better than you do :gsol:

Agree with everything apart from calling Atalanta a direct league rival :D

Cherubini completely shit the bed with this one. Atalanta just got 50m from the Romero deal and were in desperate need for a starting CB after shipping out Caldara too, and BVB was also on Demirals tail so there was no reason go easy on Atalanta with their demands. And what does Cherubini do? Give him on a goddamn golden platter....

It's almost the same thing if the option is triggered under certain conditions such as CL+EL qualification, 15+ games played etc.
I think it's quite different when one deal is "option to buy" and the other is "temporary deal once these conditions are met" since in the latter it pretty much automatically happens.

We don't know if there are some in this deal but it won't be a shock to see it as a dry loan with option. We're always terrible when it comes to selling.
