Next summer Berna and MdS will leave for free. Maybe Dybala too. We will have to find a replacements for Ramsey and Chiellini. This is even before thinking about improving any other areas.
We need to extend Cuadrado's contract immediately.
That is what we hope for, Berna will be 28, MDS will be 29. We will watch they get 2-3 years contract extension. I hope Allegri veto that extension to make clear his position about both guys

Thankfully only 2 of those 5 names need to be replaced. The other 3 you could promote the janitors and it wouldnt make a difference, except to the boost to your salary budget.
You don't need a backup RB? These players occupy places in the squad that is needed for a team that fights in all competitions (hopefully)

I'm sure you want then all to be replaced by super talented 19 year olds. That'll surely happen buddy :baus:

We have so much to fix it is insane.

From top of my head:

- At least one new world class CB to partner MdL, Bonu and Giorgio as backups. Rugani to be sold.
- One decent LB to compete or even replace AS. De Sciglio to be sold.
- At least one WC CM and one solid rotation CM. SMS or Pogba would be the wet dream. Ramsey and at least one of Rabiot, Weston and Benta to be sold.
- One decend winger to rotare with Chiesa or an upgrade for Kean. Berna to be sold.
- One WC striker, hopefully Vlahovic if he has a great season. Wet dream would be Lewa or Halland.
- Extend contract with Dybala and Cuadrado.
- If possible try to replace and upgrade Woj, but we wont. Max will stick with him.

I don't think a trade of Ronaldo for Locatelli and Kean (and Dybala; the two only coexisted well for 6 months under Sarri at the expense of midfield with Lord Berna as runner at AM) is as bad.

Attack is still OK while midfield with just this one addition improved drastically (both player quality and profile wise - quick release, long passes, direct passes - all we were missing). You're only as good as your biggest weakness.

Midfield and entire left flank still problems, but I'm not so sure quality of team decreased from previous year.

1/10
Good:
Luca
Bad:
Where do I begin
1 I’m not getting on the keen bandwagon, he is average and I doubt he will be something special ( I hope I’m proved wrong)
2 no real quality acquisitions in the mid field
3 deshitiglo is back
4 no worthy replacement for a massively declining Alex Sandro
5 ok cr left and that’s bad but no last minute attempt to get someone of quality to replace him

Feels like a bridge towards next summer tbh. I like how they didn’t bring in any old players and just focused on youth. I realize some of those plans are blocked by players we just can’t get rid of (thanks Tici!)

Next summer will be much more interesting and telling of Bini’s abilities. They’ll have Rovella and some other young players back from loan with more experience. They’ll have money to pursue Vlahovic/Haaland types.

Kinda sad to say, but also with the bigger picture in mind, I’d say a successful season would be a top 4 finish.
too bad we wasted 38m on fking KEAN.

Just depends on what he needs to accomplish to make it an obligation. Hopefully it’s tied in with goals scored rather than appearances.

Still think Scamacca was the better fit for Allegris setup and a better compliment to Dybala and Chiesa. Time will tell.

It's not like I fap over this transfer window but I think people are being way too harsh.

We badly needed a new coach and we got Allegri who was, arguably, the best choice out there. We needed a change of mid and while not fixing it exactly we still signed Locatelli who was wanted by majority of people here, for a reasonable fee too.

Sure, we needed more moves in order to fix our squad but there's no way it was that easy. We simply couldn't sell our shit players, rightfully so, which later resulted in us doing nothing.

It was a huge blow to lose on Ronaldo (while plenty of people wanted him out though), but you can't possibly think he was an easy player to replace. Dreaming over Mbappe and Haaland makes no sense whatsoever. No, I'm not saying they are of equal quality, but getting Kean was a really decent move. He's a fine addition to our squad and much better move than signing old and injury prone players.

I gave it a 5. So it's not like I'm wanking over this summer mercato. But people pretend like we sold all best players and sign Lecce level of players. What? I mean, come on. It's not even just us. Just look how clubs barely made moves this summer (ignoring oil clubs). They are scared because of corona, everyone is taking minimal risk.

We've got a long way ahead but we're on the right path at least.

Letting Ronaldo go in the last minute to then replace him, with our ex-player that we didn't deem good enough Keane is possibly our worst transfer move ever. This is the worst mercato I can recall.

I don't get how replacing Ronaldo with Keane, kaio Jorge, Dybala in a sense (since the two couldn't coexist), Locatelli (actually have a reliable mid now that addresses all the issues with ball - quick, direct and long passing instead of just slow, lethargic short ones), actual backup LB options (instead of Matuidi, frabotta, Berna) is supposed to be that terribad. 4th CB and esp backup GK hardly make any diff.

Not a good mercato but not the worst of all time, and this isn't a worst squad than last year's.

Didn't get the extreme of Ronaldo leaving making no diff or being even better, great mercato, great work by Cherubini - said all before last game. And now, don't get the other extreme of this being the worst mercato of all time or how squad way worse than last season's.

Losing 5 points vs small sides had nothing to do with squad (other than Tek; hello people who said he's better than Gigio). It's plenty good enough to beat friggin Udines and empolis. It has to do with weird lineups/formations, horrible subs, and GK blunders in one game.

I'm reading how every player bar one or two should be sold or are worthless, makes no sense, while in winter mercato thread people are double dutch ruddering over barely above avg freebies, a mercato opportunity practice that started this mess in the first place.

How do they think the team are perceiving the sudden loss of Ronaldo in the last minute. Do you think this already nerve wrecked team were excited to see him leave and looking forward to all the wonders of Keane?

When we lost Conte it wasnt this last minute and Marotta had Allegri lined up as replacement. The idiots in charge now have no plan.

Dybala isnt a Ronaldo replacement. He was already here and always inconsistent. Adding names of some random players doesnt mean we replaced Ronaldo.

You are right we lost 5 points at least 2 of which were thanks to our joke of a goal keeper. Thats exactly why you need someone like Ronaldo leading the team upfront and not Keane or Dybala

Thats like a Barca fan saying they are just as strong without Messi, if they had bought Keane instead of Depay & Aguero. Thats how ridiculous this sounds.

That was not the reason we sold him, Hist... We never would've sold him if we didn't actually needed to money to fit in FFP parametres.
