Our trains crash a lot lately. There's just one run down company that was privatized a while ago. in the country, has no competition and is completely out of order. Their budget is high but it's misspent and we've had several accidents in the latter years, even though train traffic in this country is lower than both car traffic and air travel.
I heard about the a Britsh trainservice (I think it was Ivanhoe) order some carriages at a German company. The Germans wanted to test the carriages before shipping them but then they realised the tracks in Germany are nothing like the British tracks so they beat the rails up with giant hammers, threw leaves and mud on it and then tested the carriages to have a realistic view of what they would be like on the British rail system :LOL:
This year I will only have one month off because I'm doing my internship, but otherwise we have summer holidays from July till October That is if you're a student who passes all his/hers exams in June and doesn't have to take retakes.
