After working with kids aged 6-15 for the past year, I've come to the conclusion that in 99.9% of cases, screwed up spoilt kids like that are the direct result of irresponsible parenting.

It starts with the little things.

1. Kid wants something
2. Parents say no
3. Kid cries and goes nuts
4. Parents don't like to see their kid crying
5. Parents buy kid what they want
6. Kid stops crying

In this situation, both parties learn a lesson:

* The parents learn that if they just dish out some cash, their kid is happy. That's much easier, and takes less time than explaining to their child why they can't have _____.

* The child learns that if they cry and yell and throw things, they get what they want.

And the vicious cycle begins.

Took you a whole year to figure that out? :D

On a side note, apart from more and more children being spoiled, even more children are becomingn bums, low-lives, at an early age. Don't know how the situation is at the rest of the world but ATM here you can see 10-12 year olds smoking cigarettes, drinking, skipping classes, etc. I mean that's normal behaviour but man, when I was 14 I lit my first cigarette and damn, was I scared if my Dad's gonna find out. Nowadays I regulary see freaking little children cursing, swearing and acting like little hooligans every freaking day.

With each year I see kids are getting worse and worse. IMO the only reason for that are parents, nowadays both parents have jobs and are barely home every day. Kids do whatever they want and however they want. When I get a kid the wife stays at home and takes care of him, end of story. :D

children are in their own nature rebellious . children who aren't rebellious aren't so because of their parents .
the problem is exactly that of the parents but not in the way everyone thinks , parents are actually restricting their kids too much therefore their kids become hooligans . if kids are given the right amount of space then they will understand what theyre doing is wrong .

Is it more disgusting than sniffing cocaine?
I don't know, I've never seen anyone do that. Sniffing cocaine doesn't seem particularly disgusting tho, esp as it doesn't affect anyone present.

Anyway, comparing something bad to something worse doesn't make it good.

which you define by taking up the most disgusting habit? :disagree:
Hey I quit for over 2 full years, didn't drew one smoke. Though I started again this year, I'm planning to quit again after summer. :D

Just because you don't like, it doesn't mean it is disgusting. That's such a stereotype, a disgusting habit... Trust me, there are moments when a cigarette can taste as good as anything in the world.
Then what went wrong between the age of 14 and now?:p :p
Erm...nothing, that's the problem, I feel like I'm still 14. :D
