And what will happen to Arsenal when Arsene wenger leaves them ? Have you seen how crap arsenal used to play before this guy's revolutionary changes ! How can you guys survive without him ?

Things can change pretty fast Fred believe me. Real madrid was a joke team just few years ago and now they look solid. Barca were crap under Louis van Gaal and today they're considered the best team in europe. Inter are even worse, they were the biggest joke in europe and now they're the champions of Europe.

Changes always happen but one thing you can't change and that is the history of these clubs. So history "IS" important in football.
I wasn't talking about Arsenal, go back to my post and see the listed teams.

As for what will happen to Arsenal after Wenger, well once the stadium debt is repayed, i expect us to have sizable funds for transfers and things like that. I think we are on the way to becoming a big team.

Yeah, but you see, Juve were many times in situation when they didn't belong among the 5-6 big boys, and yet in some years they got in there, kicking someone else from the big 5.
It was happening in every single decade. It was happening to Juve, Bayern, Inter, Real, Milan, Barca, Liverpool etc.

That's why we KNOW it will happen again and it will happen pretty soon. Maybe 3, maybe 5 years, but we know it will happen.

You on the other hand....:D

Our financial situation looks very good, and once our debts are payed, i expect us to have budgets as big as Chelsea, United and co. Even with a new manager, i don't expect we're falling down anytime soon. Like i said above, we're on the way to become a big team, financially we're almost there.

you can live in the here and now or you can take life as a whole, past present and future, leeds is a bigger club than chelsea now and that could change in the future, or not as in chelsea losing their benefactor. If it was all about the now like you suggest then no team in the world would have a farm system why waste money on maybes in the future when you can dedicate all your resources to success now, which according to you stops mattering the next day, exercise of futility? And leeds is no juve, juve is a top 5 all time team, sustained success over a 100 years!! comical to even mention the likes of arsenal, chelsea ...

Ya well its comical to compare City to Nottingham too, but.....

Present and the future are all that matter. What good is it to Nottingham that their team won two European Cups? What good is it to Uruguay that they were once one of the best teams in the world?

Juve are historically a top 5 team, but for me at least, i care very little what Juve did in the 80's, 70's or whatever. Maybe its just me, but like i said, i'd rather be Chelsea than be Juve.

that is why one needs to see things in a continuum as in pedigree, current state, and potential, and based on those 3 i fail to see why anyone would rather be chelsea
Do Chelsea have less potential than Juve?

Juve at least in the next 2-3 years, barring any substantial investment in the team, do not look like they have a lot of potential.

Why do you assume, Chelsea will not continue being a top team?

Not the now as in the five seconds from now. But the now as in let's say the time in which I've been in this thing, which is about 15 years now. Why should any prior history matter to me to any degree higher than trivia? Hey it would be neat, I suppose, if Stade de Reims reached the CL final again. But they won't, that time is long gone. You're right in saying that Juve is a club "spanning history", but for anyone who might be starting to pay attention today, or 3 years ago, we're a nobody. Or close to that. And that is shameful.

if you read carefully i tool into account all 3 temporal elements. But even as far as potential juventus is more financially sound and with a younger squad, add on to that the new UEFA restrictions i d rather be an organization with tradition that has winning in its DNA rather than the product of the caprices of a nouveau riche.

I hardly say were a nobody atleast we've won something in the past 5 years, I guess that means Arsenal are off the radar then.
Ya, we are off the radar of course.

If we're talking financially. We are one of the most financially sound teams in Europe, the only snag is the stadium debt, and we're making admirable and better than expected progress there.

Why are you in 100+ Million in debt if your financialy sound?
That is a debt that we planned for, its a debt that we had to incur if we wanted to even come close financially to the top clubs in Europe. The debt is all stadium debt, and if you follow our news, you'd see that we're progressing better than expected in repaying the debt.

On the European stage, basically yes. We're in the goddamn Europa League, I mean dear lord.
:lol2:

Cmon Martin. It's one season dude. As far as finances go and future prospects Juventus have as good as anyone. We'll have a big say in the Market over the next few years to build a very good squad.

Debt is debt, planned or not planned. If you were financially sound you would of been able to finance the Stadium yourself without taking out huge loans. Your in debt so to me that states your not financially sound.

Even if you're paying it off, it's still against the club.

Hey Nick, it's now been years since Calciopoli. I was hoping we'd bounce back quickly, but that's not exactly what happened. Who says we'll even win the scudetto in the next five years?

In the broad sense I agree with Deneb. Juventus has a vital position in Serie A. And it seems very likely we will win it back. But who knows how soon and how often.

I don't think any club has the finances to pay for a stadium like ours without taking huge loans.

Revenue wise, we have been in the top 3-4 teams in Europe in the past couple of years.

Also, building the new stadium is probably the best thing we ever done. It was absolutely necessary

Financially, Arsenal are much better off than Juve btw.
Really?

We've been relegated and lost so much money through sponsorship deals but still I don't buy you're better off than Juventus. When you have 100+ Million of debt while we have 15 Million and that factors in the new Stadium Build.

Why are we able to consistently outspend Arsenal each and every Summer if you're in a better financial position?

Bad management has been our failings lets hope this new one can construct something.

Debt is temporary, our debt is not like United's or Chelsea's. The debt we undertook in the past few years was necessary in order to put us in the top teams in Europe financially. Even with our debt, we make a lot more profit than Juve mind you, so imagine what it would be like when our debt is repayed, and like i said, we're making very good progress on that.
