No man, you seem to have forgotten the Clichy debates. I never ever said he was the best in the world(you had this assumption at that time, then you apologized for misunderstanding me, if you remember)

I did say he was in the top 3 for two seasons. Which were the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. I even admitted he was poor last season, although admittedly i wrongly predicted that he will be back to his best this season. But he has been just as average as last season thus far.

Hamsik debate is still ongoing.

You're experience and you digging up stats from the ground is a really tiring thing. I doubt you'd lose that in 5-6 years :D
I didn't really use stats in Clichy's case and for Hamsik I simply had to when I hear the "he's a ghost" arguments.
It's just my eye, my well trained eye to notice a potential in players and the hype in some other players.

Lately only Giovinco disappointed me and my predictions.

Fact of the matter is, Villa, Drogba and Zlatan are all overrated on this forum, by several folks in this thread.

It just depends on what you want. Alen prefers big physical forwards like Drogba and Zlatan, while others prefer those with finesse and better scoring records.

And to just end it, on form and healthy, Torres is better than them all. :D

So you don't agree that he was average last season? I'm talking strictly about the league?
In the EPL he was, but I think it has more to do with Scolari and the post-Scolari recovery. He had no desire to play. It happens.
Such seasons happen. Zlatan had a similar one for Juve.

All = Bianconero and Osman :D.

Would like to see what Aaron and Boz think about it.
Bah, I don't count Osman. I mean, Osman!!
And I certainly won't count Aaron.

Red's opinion is what always counts.

Aaron is normally objective even when it comes to Liverpool players.

Why wouldn't Osman's opinion be counted. He's the only guy crazy enough to watch as much leagues as i do :D

@Alen, i'd say Grosso disappointed your "eye for talent" too. :p
No. I only said that Clichy is nothing more than an average LB and belongs in the same category as Grosso.
I'm 100% sure I said that. Go ahead and search for the posts.

You were laughing like crazy when I said that Clichy is at Grosso's level.
Just give it time and you'll see that I was right.

You're right, you probably said that.

I'll take your word for it mate, no need to go searching for the post. :p

Fred made so many wrong ASSUMPTIONS that I proved to be wrong.
If he wins this then in Drogba style I say that this is a FUCKING DISGRACE!!

Anyway, the starting point of the discussion was Fred saying that Drogba doesn't belong to the list consisted of Torres, Villa and Zlatan while I though he does.
Actually, many think he does judging by their posts.
I didn't claim Drogba to be better, I claimed that he's at the same level as the other 3 mentioned players. Fred downplayed Drogba's quality and importance by naming every other opinion Bullshit and asking: "what has Drogba really done to put himself among these strikers. I mean why do people overrate him so much?"

I won!
You made your case with stats, but you entered without any chance of winning, because Torres is simply put better then Drogba. Though you pointed out the difference isnt as big as Fred was alluding to, either way, as said, stats can only take you so far, watch these two peeps, and its clear Torres is better.

Drogba is top 5 striker, but the others ahead of him are better then him still, even if he is the most dominant center forward at what he does. Can be most difficult to face in some ways (Barca had lots of trouble against him in CL, but kept missing the chances, so thats where he isnt dominating).

But lets be honest here who would not want Torres' finishing skills on their team? They're better than Drogba's, better than Zlatan's, and that is all that matters in the game, right? Putting the ball in the back of the net.

As an asset and weapon and scoring machine, Torres is the best quite frankly.
