The best out there right now, quite frankly.

I'd have him spearheading my attack whether I field 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2, 4-3-3, or 3-3-1-3.
I guess it's more about the players.

If I had a creative team, I'd go with the poacher.

If I had a goalscoring midfielder or two in my team, but not so much creativity, I may favour a target man over a poacher.

No player has ever proven me more wrong then Torres has, ever. Despite seeing the explosive skill, I have never found anymore more overrated, choker, pussy, loser mentality then I did Torres in Atletico, he stagnated completely and seriously looked like he would go down the fizzling Tamudo path or such in his career (big fish in small pond) despite his talents. He was just too annoyingly underwhelming with them as time went (perfect example for the over used word choker).
So now you're saying your opinions about him can't be trusted at all? :D

If you check what poeple said about him when he was signed by Pool, I can gurantee you that you will find overwhelming majority said he is risky and very overrated. I tended to be more harsh then them.

So, FYI, I'm not praising him out of habit :D Not at all, totally evolve player with Pool, his highlight with Atletico was allways fucking Barca royally, and virtually only them, and in style, but since he left Atletico he plays he faces Barca all the time((on the contrary with Mr PoPoPo, I ADORED Drogba in Marseille, he loioked Zlatan-esque there, totally amazing, but he dissapointed me with Chelsea, first seasons was like a shell of what he showed there).
Something you guys might not have known. Drogba was not expected to be the star striker at Marseille. The star striker that all the lights were on was none other than Mido, yes Mido. But an injury to Mido gave Drogba the chance to be the main man, and well the rest is history .. :D

Thank god i wasn't really much of a regular on the forums back then. I held the same opinion as yours and never really thought so highly of him. I thought he suited the EPL so the Liverpool move was good for him, but i didn't expect him to develop into the player he is right now. Thought the fee paid for him was too steep. How wrong i was :D

You went back to being predictable :D

You are supposed to be a psuedo Valencia fan, do you remember seeing Atletico with Torres? Had all the right tools, but was a choker, relied on his explosivity but not sure how to use it.

Do trapping the ball, holding it up, and positioning not count for consideration of a top class finisher?
No not really :D

Eto'O has scored more goals then all of the mofos mentionned in this thread, but I would never say he is the best finisher of them, but he had the uncanny ability to find his way to ALOT of goalscoring chances with trickery (Mallorca, one man show) and mobility. More chances to score, more goals.

:agree: He relies more on his other strengths as opposed to his shooting
