Boca should be banned from South American competition for at least a year for this.

Their supporters attacked multiple River Plate players in the tunnel with tear gas/pepper spray. And then River players were stranded on the pitch for at least an hour, as Boca fans were blocking the exit not allowing them to leave.

Disgraceful.

Dude, this is SA, more specifically Argentina, not Europe. Not gonna happen.

That's just normal over there.

This fucking team. Disgusting. Disgusting fans. And at 1:45 the players actually applaud this disgraceful set of fans. Appalling.

Sure it probably will not happen, but Boca needs to be suspended from South American competition for a few years, or at the very least forced to play behind closed doors for the next 2-3 years in South America, and fined through the roof. CONMEBOL needs to send a message.

Fucking disgraceful. 4 River players hospitalized, Kranevitter, Ponzio, Vangioni with first degree burns on their bodies, Driussi with difficulty breathing. Then it takes an entire squad of riot police to get them off the pitch over an hour after the match is suspended, while Boca fans throw garbage at them.

It's one thing for supporters to be fighting one another. Ultras, hooligans, the like... But when you attack players with chemicals, hospitalize them, and then make it impossible for them to leave the pitch, throw garbage at them when they finally do under riot police protection. Disgraceful fans, disgraceful society.

That has to be a given.
Apparently there is consideration to replaying the match at a neutral venue. :sergio:

Not suprised by this disgusting behavior from Boca fans. Unfortunately can't forsee any strong repurcussions.
They did the same in 05 in Libertadores against Chivas in the home leg when Palermo head butted Chivas' Bofo from behind, and Boca's coach Benites spat in Bofo's face, a fan jumped the fence and tried to punch Bofo in the face, and one of the ball boys, kicked Bofo from behind.

And of course CONMEBOL did pretty much nothing to Boca.

at least boca fans dont burn their own stadium, seriously though if you think this is boca fans alone you know little about futbol in argentina, sure this is embarrassing, even most likely it doesnt involve more than a couple of fans at most, but this is endemic and has a lot to do with barras doing security duty for their sections. Security and police even refused initially to take up the task for the first super of the 3 for that very reason.

So, enough of the let's shit on boca day, i can bring up just as amny if not more incidents involving los putos del tablon.

That has to be a given.
worse happened in an independiente game and not only was there no repercussions the game wasnt even suspended. So conmebol makes their own rules depending on the situation

So you're saying God forbid that CONMEBOL actually try to discourage fans doing terrible things to opposing players...
