Dissapointing game. There is only one man to blame for this loss, he's DD. Yup, you heard it right. Juve started the 2nd half good, controlling the game and going forwad. The biggest mistake was to sub Bojinov for Giani. After that sub, Rimini started to have many chances on goal and Didi didnt do anything to change it which eventually led to a mix up between Bombom and Kovac and resulted in a goal.

Zalayeta - What is he still doing at Juve?!?

Del Piero- Trying to something, but everything was going wrong for him. Was not his day at all, and should have been subbed much earlier in the game. He was totally useless playing in the right side of the pitch when Bojinov entered.

Nedved - Was all over the place, but was everywhere at the wrong time. Bad performance.

Marchionni - Had a couple of good runs, but his crosses were poor and overall wasn't sharp enough with the ball. Average performance by him.

Paro - Nice goal, but overall very average. Needs to work on his passing accuracy and holding the ball.

Giannicheada - Imo was Juve's best player. DD was wrong to take him out for a striker which made a big hole in the midfield.

Buffon - Had some good saves. Cant blame him for the goal.

Birindelli - Was really poor, as most of Rimini's chances came from that side. Balza should start next game.

Chiellini - Not bad

Kovac - Played a decent game, was hesitant at times to clear the ball.

Boumsong - Not bad, apart from his error which led to the goal.

Bojinov - Looked very lively, and should have started instead of the useless Zala.

didi to be blamed for??

zala happens to be a good player, just was a little unlucky with the lack of service

giannishreader was injured hence y he went off

biri was ok, not bad

chiellini was bad, lack of communication

and bojigol and ale partnership dont compliment each other

exactly, the bad management of DD is the main reason.
even, ancelotti who i consider a very average coach didnt do this mistake today,he was in the same position as didier yesterday leading 2-1 and what he did was that he took pippo off for ambrosini, this the normal choice.
very bad management by DD

Ahh so it's all a sinister masterplan by the genius that is Massimo Moratti, who plotted behind the scenes to demote the honest Juve and ban the angel that is Moggi.

I comprehend.
no, obviously you DON'T comprehend

Moratti is no genius...just take a look at Inters trophy case and wage bill since he's been in charge

The godfather I speak of is DON Guido Rossi...who is at the top of a much bigger scandal than Calciopoli. Someone should be taping his phone conversations

Anyways, you can thank your godfather for the scudetto you didnt win

:agree: , but not 100%

you cant just upset the system like that and remove a part of the team's structure and backbone like that. When i saw that substitution i knew there was going to be some consequences and there were.

Juventus not even stars in a B-movie

How are the mighty fallen? This is how, in the case of Juventus. Banished from the heights of Serie A for "sporting fraud", abandoned by some of their finest players, obliged to start in Serie B with a deduction of 17 points and doomed to start their season with a visit to humble Rimini where they can manage only a 1-1 draw.

Many Italians like to visit the Adriatic resort at this time of year. Its comfortable climate and spacious beaches are a magnet for domestic tourists, and the parks are crammed with motor-homes. But it is not a destination that has previously featured on the Juventus fixture list.

The locals had planned a spectacular welcome. The streets were dressed in the red and white that are Rimini's home colours, a special edition of the city's newspaper had been printed and all police leave had been cancelled. The most popular item of dress on the streets on Saturday afternoon was a red and white T-shirt with the words "I was there", the date and the name of Rimini's home, the Stadio Romeo Neri.

This is a homely venue, and the addition of hundreds of red and white balloons had done little to disguise the rusting ironwork of the main grandstand. The regular crowd here is numbered in the hundreds, and the capacity is supposedly 10,000. The official attendance for Saturday's game was 500 more than that, but that must have been a considerable underestimate.

An hour before the game, dozens of men were scaling the high wall outside the stadium, and Rimini's small population of ticket touts were doing a lively trade. No one wanted to miss this match. Not even the small contingent of Juventus fans, who arrived shortly before kick-off in a convoy of buses preceded by an elaborate police escort.

Ensconced in a portion of grandstand at the western end of the ground, they bayed defiance at the Riminese, and unfurled banners criticising the players who have left the club since the great Italian football scandal broke. They are, according to the fans, "mercenaries without dignity".

The teams took the field, Juventus wearing their black away strip and looking like 11 referees, not inapprop-riately, given their recent history. They were not without heroes: Pavel Nedved, the goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and iconic captain Alessandro del Piero had remained faithful. After a goalless first half in what must have seemed to them a bizarre setting, perhaps they were having second thoughts.

This is going to be a very long season for the established stars of Juventus and their young team-mates. Every opponent will be not just keen but desperate to beat them. Their reception, especially in the unfriendly regions of the south, will be unrelentingly hostile.

But at least Rimini's players went out of their way to be helpful, getting a man sent off and then conceding a goal early in the second half. But Juventus could not capitalise and, when a weary Del Piero was substituted in the final minutes, they had resigned themselves to a point apiece. For the Riminese, it was like Christmas. The fans partied, the players did a lap of honour, and the public address announcer was beside himself with joy. The celebrations continued in the centre of town, where car horns hooted and scooters weaved with glee. Everyone wanted to be part of their team's special moment.

In the grandstand, the Juventus contingent greeted the elation of their hosts with a volley of cans and bottles. Red Bull, the marketing people say, gives you wings. But when a full can of it arrives by air it can also give you a nasty clout on the forehead.

The stewards gradually restored order, and the Juve fans were herded towards their buses. They then commenced a high-speed transit to the station, during which they took every opportunity to let the townspeople know what they thought of their football team.

"We are Juventus," seems to be their current philosophy. "No one likes us. We don't care." For Rimini, the next match is against Frosinone: back to life among the minnows.

Yea Rimini won the world cup...
I hope they will be eager to cut points from our rivals too...

Some notes on the game after watching:

-Having read the comments first i thought Boumsong was a v.bad player,
but he isnt, he had a good game, he did a few mistakes, but he wasnt the only one,
Chiellini played much worse and did more,
Boumsong played deeper than the rest, as a sweeper,
he was the last man, controled the D-line and intercepted many balls,
as i defender, i know this is by far the most difficult place to be,
Boumsong isnt Canna, we have to get used to it,
but he has more courage than Kovac, Kovac many times left the ball to be cleared by Boumsong even if he was closer to it,
smth similar happened to the goal situation, it was a lucky cross, a small misunderstanding, combined with two consecutive ball controls, a perfect run and a shoot past Buffon...
They did a mistake and they will remember it, they were tought a lesson, i think after the many balls they cleared they became overconfident, they will now focus on sycronising their efforts and clear the ball at once.

-The old wines DP,Neddy
They are still tough and fast(DP did more sprints than ever,Neddy's hair was carried by the wind all the time the camera was on him),
they can still offer and be the stars we know, they werent that efficient in that game but they be sure that they are going to win all alone few matches thios year
and old Neddy wasnt bad, he tried many shots in the second half and he was changing sides.
Birindelli was fit for the game too and sould not be considered a part time player

-Paro is someone who can offer too and help the team,
he is not Emo, he can offer some creativity and even some threating shots that might even end up goals...

-Marchio, he will be the new Camo, from the right side was very good as a winger, he is v.fast and does a lot of sweet crosses Trezeqeut will surely welcome,
maybe he hasnt Camo's tehnique though and even defend less than he does, but he is more concentrated these days than Camo to our cause.

-Zala didnt have the impact i expected him to have in serie B, level,
his eager to help and returns back to help a lot to the construction too,
but it seems that he has limited abilities
and most of the serie B defence will have two lines of defence able to stop him.
Zala + DP alone wont be enough...

Rimini was a v.fast team, they cpuld sprint that small stadio in a few seconds,
they were concentrated on defence but they still conceded,
they wont be able to score the goal they scored at every game,
if this is the classic serie B level we wont have problems when DD calibrate the team well, but i m afraid that they wont be that easy.

A disgusting game from Juve.

Boumsong was shaky and I fear the worst.

Birindelli is what he is, a B-class defender who usually plays an ok match. Capable of errors though.

Kovac had an ok match but he's not in the best shape yet. Same with Chiellini, they have room to improve.

Paro was lively and a pleasant suprise but he still needs to work with his passing and calming the game.

Giannichedda did his job defensive-wise. He's not very useful in playmaking.

Marchionni was pretty good in the first half but then he faded away. He's got promise though and I expect great things from him.

Nedved tried hard but couldn't really connect with other players. Still one of Juve's best.

Zalayeta was completely useless. One good effort and like ten fouls in header situations. And he's supposed to be strong in headers. He's not very dependable and definately not starting line-up material.

Del Piero didn't look sharp. He had some of the best touches and was part of the best passing combinations but that was it. Suffered from the overall lackluster spirit of the team and wasn't able to fire up the team. Shame he's lost his pre-season form.

Bojinov didn't do anything. Palladino was only few minutes at the pitch.

We can do only better in the next match.

Did you miss his attempted header out of defence that almost turned into an assit when he totally misjudged it and flicked the ball on to the head of a Rimini player, luckly Gigi save our ass.
