Lets be honest here, how much of us here, since the start of the season, expected Juve to win the scudetto with this team we had ?
Lets be honest the first half of the season we simply over achieved. Secco is our main problem not ranieri. On paper this was quite possibly the worst Juve team I've ever seen in my life ! We need to start buying good players NOW ! We need a central player maker and a forward to replace del piero. Buying BOTH Cassano and Diego will solve this problem

I've been saying for a while that we've been playing like stoke city.

If a world top 10-15 club has a manager of Pulis calibre (judging by the similar playing style on the pitch) then something has gone very very wrong.

Oh I see. Well I've never seen a full Stoke match so I can't really comment.

well considering we actually didnt lose to any of the top 4 sides other than inter and more recently genoa, we had every chance to win the scudetto despite our deficiency in quality compared to inter. but its the fact we lost ground to the weaker sides due to the lack in positive mentality and drive we lost the title. and buying both cassano and diego will NOT solve this problem. Like ive said before, every great side is built from the back, NOT the front nor middle

This is frankly nonsense, Boz. What do you expect? Afterall we are fans of the team and have a right to state our opinions.

Sometimes I think Mao would be more lenient running this site.

The people who complain about the complainers are just as annoying as the complainers themselves.
sorry man but that is bullshit, we have prided ourselves on being better than Inter in every aspect, we have laughed at their whining support for years and yet this is exactly what we are becoming. Ranieri has to go,i have tried to defend him but reality is harsh and we need a change and soon, however too many people are going way over the score here, we never expected to win the scudetto, we were always only realistically going to challenge for 2nd or 3rd, we allowed ourselves to dream and now that dream has crashed some folk have become very bitter

Agreed. I picked Juve to finish third about halfway through the season this year, so it's not exactly a surprise. I would say a third-place finish would be fair given the personnel at our disposal on the team and the front office.

That said, this team had a chance to do the Juve thing -- which was to exceed expectations as something greater than the sum of its parts. We saw that against Real Madrid. We saw some of it against Chelsea. We saw it against Milan and even Roma.

But the late collapse this year, when you cannot blame injuries or any other obvious failures, is a tough one to swallow. Particularly because this is what we have all always ridiculed Inter over. A late season collapse like this has shown the team's truer colors, but we would have loved to have continued our suspension of disbelief ... in the little engine that could.

We couldn't, and the team today is listless. And for the fans, we have to remember that sports is entertainment. Capello didn't bring us much of any entertainment in our play, but at least we won and achieved some goals. This time we don't even have that much, which makes watching Juve play that much less entertaining and that much more painful.

The season is really over for us. But it would be nice to have some suspension of disbelief that the status quo is far from satisfactory for the players, the coach, and the board at Juve, and that we are promised positive changes coming soon.

I guess the only silver lining to all this is in what a footie-loving neighbor of mine across the street of me says: "I don't like teams that haven't suffered for what they've achieved." I'll take this Juve over the fair-weather-fan, gloryhound-ridden club we had a few years ago. And there's elation in suffering in B, getting back to the CL, etc. But this year really showed no progress over last year -- save for some limited European success -- and that is what's a little disappointing for me.

how about making a thread with " I told you" title, and we save our predictions comments there :D
Not bad. Not a bad idea.

But only if we create an additional thread with a "I told you, but I was full of #$^%" for all the predictions that come out terribly wrong. :D

Billions of crackpots have predicted the end of the world throughout history. One day someone is going to be right and we're supposed to think that makes him a genius. :p

I have to disagree with some of you guys...
Speaking about out great games against Chelsea, Real Madrid, Roma and etc. is close to nonsense.
Real Madrid was ready to get a nice ass-kicking anyhow. And Liverpool did just that.
Chelsea WON. Simple as that - WE LOST. Not a good game by any means.
And ROMA is mediocre at best this season. They are not a measurement if we do not count UEFA cup qualification as a successful season!!!
This game proves at best that Ranieri does not have even the simplest tactical sense for great teams. He does not realize that Juve is not equal to Valencia or Parma. We have some pride left(even after his 2 seasons and Seria B) and we want to play great even if we loose. He was trying to get a grip on a game against the last one in the table...
Enough is enough. He and Secco MUST go, regardless of what place in the table we finish at. Even by some fucking miracle if we DO get to be champions.
We are just playing BAD. And getting WORSE with each game. In this kind of 'progression' in the next 5 years we would be battling quite hard for the 6th place with the likes of Lazio and Atalanta, calling a victory over them a 'proof of good team'.
Besides if I had any hopes for this season they were based on the fact that we are sucking the juices out of our last true champions in the squad. Del Piero, Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Nedved, Buffon are by no means getting younger and soon they will all hung the boots. We had the moral obligation to use them as best and give them the chance to leave as winners - a chance they deserved by staying and sth. they've proven to be capable of.
But bad luck for them and I guess for the club - the days of the great morons have started - behold the king Secco and his pawn RUINIERI...
Asta la vista great Juve!
