Ever since we signed him I have consistently expressed my doubts over his usefulness and value for a large sack of gold nuggets. If anyone is pinning their hopes on Italy's chances at defending their WC crown, on Amauri, they are heading for a horrible summer next year...He has strength, decent control, and is a fine header of the ball, but he has shown nothing, last season or this season to prove he is worthy of a starting jersey at a club, traditionally speaking, which is one of the most prestigious on the planet. I think the jump from Palermo to us was too great for him. Similar routine to Almiron...

And my only demand of CIro now is :KEEP PLAYING TREZEGUET...LET HIM GET HIS MATCH SHARPNESS BACK...then when DP returns to provide, Momo adds BEAST to the midfield and Cannavaro continues where he left off when injury struck...we will be fine.

but clearly...we do not have a world class strike force. Other than the potential DP Trez resurrection...
As if Luca Toni is a savior for the Azzurri.

But whatever. I bet many people here get off to Amauri's bad form.

Grosso 3,5 - :sergio:, when are we going to see some Italy- like performances from him?
Never, because he is an overrated dunderhead with a bunch of fans who couldn't tell their left foot from their right. Mostly people from places such as Latvia, or Timbuktu, thinking they have some say in the Azzurri gang of thugs.

yea, at least before he would run his arse into the ground even if he was not scoring...it's all in the mind I guess, the frustration must be getting to him
I say it already got to him, he desperately needs psychological therapy now.

Losing a game is not such a big problem i mean any team might lose a game but the fact that we played such a horrible horrible football thats whats really worring.

I Never said that before but our team really didn't impress from the beginning of this season (even in the friendlies). Against sevilla, villareal, Chievo, lazio, bordeaux, bayern and last night against palermo. Some of these games we won or drawed but even so we played a pretty average (below average at times) football.

The team is playing with a new formation, new players and a new coach so it seemed natural that we didn't impress at the beginning but last night's game was like a signal that something isn't right here.

We don't lack the quality cause we do have some WC Players in the team. But It seems like this team is out of ideas. The team can't function at this point.....

They would have plenty if they didn't have HEEHAW first touches....:sergio:

I was watching Drogba closely today...I noticed two things of him...one, he is well endowed...and two, his first touch is amazing. It would be nice if at least 1 of our 3 strikers had a first touch.
if you count giovinco as striker you have your striker with a good first touch, but ranieri, ehrm ferrara obviously does want to ruin him and does not play him..

I am not sure about that. It is sad to admit, but Molinaro was good defensively last year, sure he did tons of errors, but he didn't need much of Sissoko's services.. This year, Molinaro is terrible, and so is Grygera (well except one game maybe),
that is just because molinaros father is gone .... i just hope he does not start drinking and become adriano II

Well, I must admit that I thought his return to Italy would do him good, especially when you consider the Italy squad is pretty much Juve anyway.
As you pointed out (numerous times ;)), he was never a great player. But I don't recall him being completely useless either, which is how he's playing right now.

I agree with a lot of things that have been said here, but it surprises me that a lot of people are (partly) blaming Legro or even Chiellini for our disgusting performance yesterday.
I mean, did anyone happen to count the number of times they were outnumbered yesterday? What do you expect them to do?

Guys, I was really pissed off last night and I actually had a small fight with a friend because of my anger.

But now, I feel that it's okay because I know we will be back to our top form. Also, this loss will grant our players anger and grit to do extremely well after the break. Ferrara needs to adjust some issues and get the players back on track.

Don't worry fellas, our performances will be better in the league which undoubtedly will improve our performance in the Champions League.

Oh and guess which formation owned us yesterday :touched:

my favorite 3-4-1-2
Actually I think we could use this formation next year if we buy Kjaer
Chiellini Canna Kjaer 3 men defence all great defenders
Sissoko and Melo to protect those 3 defenders Camo gets back to the right side Diego behind the forwards DP/new forward and Amauri/Iaquinta/Trez/new forward
as for the left side we could do 2 things
1) Put Giovinco there
2) Buy somoene great who has a better defensive ability than Giovinco

thats my favourite too

The only good thing that could happen now is the intrenational break and time for Ciro and co to make the right conclusions and figure out how to fix the situation and start bringing wins and performances...start scoring some goals ffs...
Dp we need you.
