At half season, it turns out that we won the same number of pts with Inter against the other 18 teams. The difference maker is the match in Milano where they beat us.
We have the match at Olimpico to make things even.
even in what terms? we probably will loose more points next weekend, with Sissoko and Molinaro also out now with cards.

That is a fair point that really should have been brought up earlier. I mean look at our injury list and you will realize it should be enough to cripple the best of squads. Given the circumstances a point is ok. It's not great, but it's ok. What is dissappointing though is still how we approached this game.
Just look at Inter when they can't count on one or two important players. Maicon in the previous round, Muntari and Samuel in this round.

We played 19 matches, always missing at least 3-4 very important players. We were missing our engine and most creative midfielder, our best "defender" and organizer of the defense Buffon, we were missing Zanetti, Zebina. On every match we have one aditional injury/suspension that creates many squad problems and we're always missing at least 4 bench players which prevented us from rotating players.
Salihamidzic, Tiago, Trezeguet, Iaquinta. Someone may say that we have equally good players, or even better than them, in the starting XI, but there is a big difference between having them available and not having them at all.

The main reason, by far, for not leading the standings by 3-5 pts are these anoying injuries.

Even in terms of points :shifty:
Of course there will be many changes before we play Inter again. It was a figurative speech.

It was the 19 round today. We played all the serie A teams once and now we have to play the return matches. If you don't count the h2h duel, then both we and Inter won 40 points against the other 18 serie A teams.

Who saw Tiago really wanting to go in and rip Lazio apart? He was the one who should have got the nod instead of Marchisio.

Come on, you cant just hide everything behind the injures. Id understand if Chimenti would be the only replacement for Buffon and etc.

This year we have ENOUGH cover. Sure its good to have all the players ready, but i am not too sure Trez can get back to first XI. We hardly play 4-3-3.

Oh and Tiago was on subs list.

Ranieri is wasting Giovinco up front. This kid's specialty is his wonderful passes. He should play the place where Zidane did, he can fulfill that role very well.

He is not a forward, not even a winger. Yes he plays on the left side, but he goes center all the time, this player needs space to create attack with excellent passes, and the best place for that is the center of midfield, a little away from the defenders. He does well on the sides as well, but up front? that's not what he is about.. So stop wasting this talent Ranieri!!

How?

Did I see some other game where he wasn't that good?Just swag and Rab gave him what he really deserved tonight IMO.

I think Ranieri made a great decision to sub him.
Pfft, everyone are ignoring the ratings I gave before anyone else. :p

The q is, why didnt we use the opportunity to use 3 subs. It was already clear at HT that we needed a change. Lazio was dominating the midfield.

He was the one who calmed things down in midfield IMO.Offensively he added as much as the other midfielders:absolutely nothing. He wasn't as bad as Nedved and Marchionni and not worse than Sissoko.Add to that that he just returned from injury. That's why I gave him a 6.

This is by far the most close ratings to mine. Except the Molinaro we discussed about, and I would dare to give Manninger 6. He did a single mistake, also made some nice saves. he wasn't that horrible..
