i dare to say that del piero is not fast enough to play in the midfield, when is is crowded like today ... lazio were compact and when del piero would go past one opponent the other opponents would easily catch up with del piero, because he really is to slow for that ... even to slow to play on a trident, but i know the fanboys will deny that...
    1) Being Del Piero fan boy is something to be proud of. Being Zambrotta fan boy is something to be ashamed of.

    2) Whenever Ale dribbled a player he was either pulled from his jersey or tackled. Check the stats and check the fouls.

    3) Lol.

Just that I haven't noticed it like this year. Delio Rossi was about to loose his lungs and was this close to cry when the ref gave us a foul in the 1st half and it was 35m long.
i see what your saying especially considering his form this year from free kicks it will give anyone a heart attack when he is given a fk? but i also think teams try to be more careful in "certain areas" of the pitch:rulz:

i think someone has a point there...we had only fk's from 35 meters or from spots close to the linesmen. Del Piero played more like an attacking midfield in this match.

Folk are being too harsh on this performance.

We started the game badly and Lazio deservedly went ahead.

After that we started to impose ourselves on the game more and it was a pretty even game, which we could have won.

Considering all our injuries, this was not a bad result at all, even if it wasn't a good performance.

I thought after the first half, subs were needed. We looked a bit better after ht, but it must have been just the ht talk. We needed tactical changes. And eventually we left our subs too late for them to make impact. Also i didnt like the fact that of all the players, DP was the one being substituted. I mean his one of the few players who can keep the ball and do something with it.

Also, players hardly showed any desire. Sure Lazio is always difficult place to go and get the points, but IF we are challenging for the title, we should show more, more desire, more effort, more emotions.

It really did look as if draw was enough for us.

    Great opportunity lost, GREAT.

Its exactly opportunities like these what makes me understand we just dont have that edge to go for the scudetto.

Point is better than nothing, but it could have been just a point separating us from Inter.

Meh. One bad game for my heroes is fine.

I am more worried about the suspensions for the Fiorentina game. Will Giorgio be back to kick some Gilardino ass?

Btw, we should keep in mind that we went to Rome with over 6 key players injured. Not that I'm giving a reason for this bad performance but we shouldn't be down.

The gap between Inter and us is 3points and guess what? Serie A has just started.

    19 matches to go folks.

I think that what has annoyed a few people not so much the result but the performance of some players.

At half season, it turns out that we won the same number of pts with Inter against the other 18 teams. The difference maker is the match in Milano where they beat us.
We have the match at Olimpico to make things even.

That is a fair point that really should have been brought up earlier. I mean look at our injury list and you will realize it should be enough to cripple the best of squads. Given the circumstances a point is ok. It's not great, but it's ok. What is dissappointing though is still how we approached this game.

the injuries didnt help us, i can agree to that. but we should have came off the gates like lightning and we allowed lazio to strike first blood. we started this game completely the opposite than we should have. we had a huge opportunity. this is the first real time inter has made a mistake and we allowed them to get away again. inter arent going to be making many more mistakes I am sure. ever mistake they make we need to be there to remind them who we are, today we didnt.

Nedved lost it.He was just decent tonight...he covered a lot of ground but he's not the same.He was pretty bad this season. We should at least rotate him with De Ceglie.

Molinaro is improving. He was good tonight imo.He had some good forward runs and did help our defense in several occasions.

Marchionni should be just a back-up and nothing more.Sadly we don't have Camo to play there but it's creepe how we reley on him on the right side.

Ariaudo looks promising. He was pretty good considering the pressure.

Manninger- 4 - He did a very good job replacing Buffon but that was a terrible mistake. An experienced keeper should catch that joke of a free-kick without a doubt.

Mellberg- 6,5 - He had a very good game in my opinion, defensively that is.Still he managed to score our only goal with a beautiful header.

Legrottaglie - 6,5 - He had a great game aswell and knew how to guide the kid Ariaudo.

Ariaudo- 6,5 - Looked pretty calm at his Serie A debut.Good anticipation, pace and passes. He might needs to work on his headers though.

Molinaro- 6.5 - He had a very good game defensively and is improving offensively, still his crosses are shameful. He intercepted quite a few occasions for Lazio and prevented an almost certain goal by Foggia.

Marchionni- 5 - Wasn't nearly as good as against Catania but still was more noticeable than good old Nedved offensively IMO,which doesn't mean much because Nedved wasn't great neither.

Sissoko- 6 - Had an ok game.

Zanetti- 6 - I was missing his magic passes to Del Piero today.

Nedved- 5 - I didn't notice him at all, especially in the second half. It's getting to the point where I start to want him to sit on the bench.Forever.I love Pavel but he should retire for good.

Amauri- 5 - Tried but had no luck.

DP- 5 - Same as Amauri. Our midfield was too weak to provide the passes to our forwards.

    ___

Marchisio- 5,5- Not a good game, even if he just was a sub.

    Giovinco - No rating-

This is the not the end of every thing... Its the character .. and we have it in abundance .. We crawled up to this point ..step by step ... we know it and the players know ..there is no way back and there is no chance we will leave this battle so easily ... next game against Viola... Bring it on.. And yea ..home game against inter

    BUT IS IT????
look around, here people are talking about selling Buffon and Trez, as we have seem to find great cover for them, and therefore could use the money.

So basicly only Chiellini would be the big lost from todays match.
