Come on, you cant just hide everything behind the injures. Id understand if Chimenti would be the only replacement for Buffon and etc.

This year we have ENOUGH cover. Sure its good to have all the players ready, but i am not too sure Trez can get back to first XI. We hardly play 4-3-3.
We have enough cover in theory. 2 players for every position.
But when you always have minimum 7 injuries and when many times you have both players who play in the same position injured/suspended, then it IS a problem.

I'm not hiding behind these injuries. It is a fact that we felt them hard, especially at the start of the season when the new players were getting used to the system, looking for a balance, experimenting with the team trying to find the best XI and trying to gel. That's where we lost most of the pts.

As for the Chimenti part...Manninger did great, i love the guy, but it still stands that Buffon wouldn't have conceded 2 of the goals Manninger conceded, which coincidently, happened on matches where we lost points (Inter and Lazio).
About Trez..... resting Amauri, putting another deadly striker when Amauri can't get things going, putting a third attacker when we're going for the win in the last 20 minutes. You can't say that there is no difference if we have or don't have a player like Trezeguet.

Oh and Tiago was on subs list.
That's a ridiculous thing to say.

How would Inter be doing if they had been missing Julio Cesar, Maicon, Cambiasso, Muntari and two or three other squad players?

This is by far the most close ratings to mine. Except the Molinaro we discussed about, and I would dare to give Manninger 6. He did a single mistake, also made some nice saves. he wasn't that horrible..
That single mistake cost us a goal though, which is horrendous for a goalkeeper. His saves after the mistake put him up at 5.5 instead of lower.

He was the one who calmed things down in midfield IMO.Offensively he added as much as the other midfielders:absolutely nothing. He wasn't as bad as Nedved and Marchionni and not worse than Sissoko.Add to that that he just returned from injury. That's why I gave him a 6.
He was great in Coppa but tonight I didn't see anything.I can hardly say he calmed things down since he didn't have so many balls in middle and made some mistakes while passing.Usually he got more confident.Like he played in stealth or something. Both Nedved and Momo were better IMO...not much but at least they added something.

Ranieri is wasting Giovinco up front. This kid's specialty is his wonderful passes. He should play the place where Zidane did, he can fulfill that role very well.

He is not a forward, not even a winger. Yes he plays on the left side, but he goes center all the time, this player needs space to create attack with excellent passes, and the best place for that is the center of midfield, a little away from the defenders. He does well on the sides as well, but up front? that's not what he is about.. So stop wasting this talent Ranieri!!
finally someone who sees it the way it sholud be..

100% agree..

i've been sayin' tha since bate game..

Fair enough.

Let's not discuss today's midfield though, they were all underperforming.

If Milan sell Kaka then you shouldn't worry at all about them. I know them perfectly well, i know that they will fight for the 4th place if Kaka leaves them.
