Tardelli : Grande Milan in second half. But still shaky defense. Nesta and Maldini with many difficulties. With Ronaldo they are stronger
Teocoli (Milan fan): Smiling, thinking how Milan are superior to everyone in Italy . Ronaldo looks like Jimmy Hendrix and he'll be grande for Milan. I expect a lot from him.
Capello: Milan can't play against tight defenses, even with Ronaldo.
Donadoni: Milan plays a lot with the ball but it works well when they have a lot of space, not against 10 men defenses.
Collovati (he's our fan, always talks bad about Milan, eventhough he played for Inter and Milan :D) : He used many words but what he wanted to say was : Milan sucks balls in serie A, and they'll continue doing so even with Ronaldo and Pato. Ronaldo should be prima punta and he also says so while Galliani says he should be seconda punta (Capello also says he should be prima punta)

And the ref Tombolini :
1. Ronaldo's shirt was pulled , it was a penalty. A soft one but a penalty (the others don't agree, especially Capello. Even Teocoli said : Kaka saw it wasn't a penalty and he missed on purpose)
2. Gattuso slapping Acquafresca - It wasn't for yellow card (WTF !!!!)

There was the Nedved bunch of zanies at the railings. But other than that, the Olimpico looked like it was forced to watch an Italian military parade. Here I am jumping on sofa cushions at home. It didn't look so cold there where people couldn't get up out of their seats. But damn -- with a crowd response like that, they should be wearing opera glasses. :frown:
I really missed the usual chants. Sadder still is the fact they won't be there in the Milan match.

We will have 100% certainty that it's about personality and not play if we don't at least see Tiago against Empoli next month.
It's seems to be pointing in that diretion.

Ranieri:
“He has the right hunger and dived right into the game. I saw he had a bit of a row with Raffaele Palladino, but he is the captain and was right in making sure his status was respected.”

The Under-21 international had complained about a pass when Del Piero was caught on camera telling Palladino to “shut up.”
:D
Well, the coach cleared everything up. No problem here, moving on...

Wow, two crystal clear penalties not given to Reggina today (against Fiorentina). But really, it unbelievable how the ref didn't see this. The first one was a clear handball while the second one was a harsh foul over Reggina's attacker in the box.
Guys in Domenica Sportiva can't stop wondering how the ref didn't give these penalties.

The Palermo coach, I dont understand what he is getting at. His team were owned, which he admits, and the calls in question wouldn't have changed the result, which he also admits, yet he states "Id like to see if they complain now as well", as if our complaints b4 were equal in severity to the meaningless ones he is now talking about. Coupled with Zamparini's pre match comments, Palermo could really use a PR department at the club.

Lapo left the stadium when Juve were winning 4-0, and in an interview with Sky, he said, we scored four goals against Palermo, what more could you ask for?

For those who are inventing stories about Del Piero-Palladino that Del Piero is Jealous and these stupid silly reasons, should probably stay out of typing. Palladino asked for ball, Del Piero prefered to pass it somewhere else and Palladino insulted Alex.... Of course Ale didn't accept this and considering who Del Piero is and the diff of the age between them he couldn't accept that but shout and have a small contact with Palladino. I don't know what Palladino was thinking of but I wouldn't want to imagine a kid who barely started with Juve insulting someone like Del Piero.
Just watched the reply. that was nothing about Ale passing somewhere else. Palla brought the ball near the penalty area, then passed it to Marchionni and moved in to the box (waiting for Marchionni passing him back) but Marco made a mistake and the Palermo defender cleared. Palla started to shout at Marco and Ale asked him to shut up (according to the lip reading). It doesn't seem Palla'd insulted Ale but Ale, as a captain, tried to mediate. even though the way he used seemed a bit harsh but I dun think that was a big deal. that was just similar to the ways parents sometimes use to teach the kids :D

Match

What can there be said? Did we outclass them, or were they awful? I believe we had the an average line up at a first glance. We showed up and started attacking, we had a period of boredom but we got our first goal, Legro headed it down and Trez did the business. And some say he is inconsistent, while he leads the scoring charts for Serie A...

Second goal came at just the right time. We needed something to put us into the break with comfort and to make Claudio's job in the dressing room easier. The second goal was well worked. Camo put in the cross, Vincenzo got to it and showed determination to get to the ball. Most other players would have gone down in hope for a penalty but I liked the way he got up and finished the move. The Criscito/Neddy incident was great, "Ill do the business boy!". Pavel is a tough nut :smoke:.

Half time came and went. Palermo started off the second half looking for a goal but they seemed to run out of steam with 30 minutes left. In that time it was funny to see Nocerino and Simplico square up looking for a fight, before the giant figure of Amauri came out sorted it out :D I wouldn't have messed either Rino!

One part of the match stood out to me, and it was to see a defender chasing the ball with Iaquinta behind. Vinny caught him up, used his strength to win the ball and passed it into the area (poorly). This is what we don't get when we start Del Piero. On tired legs I think our captain is more useful. I hope Iaquinta and Mauro didn't get major injuries and that they are fit for next week.

Third goal was immense. Del Piero smugly put a free kick in after being on for a few minutes. He is underrated as he is great at the free kick. Then the best part of my match happened, which was to see Marchionni come on the pitch. This dude has been hampered with injuries for so long and it was awesome to see him play a part in a great game for us. Palermo had a corner which we cleared nicely. The ball was played to Del Piero who had one man in his way, he played a weighted through ball to Marco for his first Serie A goal for us. That was my highlight of the match, by a long distance.

Fifth goal was not a penalty. I'm guaranteeing that. The Palermo defender did not touch Nedved greatly, and I think it was partly a trip by Pavel. Ill not lie and say I didn't want a penalty out of it, I'm just being honest. I wasn't fussed over who took it either. Marchionni would have been my choice but all we needed was it to hit the net, which Alessandro did with ease. Last kick of the game, and we hammered them. I liked the dancing Nedveds in the stand also, they were animated.

All in all our play was very wide today and we opened up their defense like a can of beans. Our best performance of the season, against tough opposition. That is encouraging for us fans to see

Player Ratings:

Buffon - 6
Superman had little to do today. One good save, the planet is safe.

Molinaro - 5
Lost possession too easily I thought. He didn't really look confident in his passes. He was dissapointing today for me, but he is all we have for the time being.

Criscito - 5.5
Average. As most of our defense, he had little to do. Never really got going and made a few bad errors. I hope he improves with age.

Legrottaglie - 5.5
He assisted Trez for his goal but I wasn't too sure on is performance. There was no bother to him but if there was I wouldn't have been convinced he got to the ball cleanly.

Zebina - 5
Who hushed him up? He was like a mouse, nothing like the Zebina I want to see who bombs forward making strong tackles and runs. I like the noisy Jonathan.

Nedved - 9 (Man of the match)
I remember criticising his performance 2 matches ago. I said he was slow, too old and should retire as soon as possible. He proved me wrong. Ill give him man of the match aswell. He put in a brilliant performance. He made good runs, rarely lost possession and was a great influence to our younger players. Bravo Pavel :pint:

Zanetti - 6.5
Quiet by his standards. I thought he played very deep and should have been given more freedom in the second half. At least he did his job properly.

Nocerino - 8
Played nicely, he was always eating and biting away at opponents legs and he never gave in. Was Zanetti in disguise. I give him credit for doing that today. I also think in a fight, he could have taken Simplico. ;)

Camoranesi - 7.5
He put the ball in for Vinny's goal and made convincing runs for us. It shows that we desperately need him in the squad as we are short on wingers. His running against the age of Milan will be fun to see!

Iaquinta - 8
Great determination for the goal he scored. I liked his play and his strength he gave us. He earned this call up and he didn't dissapoint me.

Trezeguet - 7.5
I saw him make crosses today. I saw him go wide on the flanks. I liked his goal. That is Treeguet, top scorer in Serie A and not called up for the French national team.

Del Piero - 8
Our captain scored a lovely free kick, he showed Raffaele who is boss on the pitch and he is better when coming off the bench. He assisted a goal, he grabbed 2 himself and he is even closer to breaking new records. What a guy.

Marchionni - 8
This dude deserved every bit of celebration he could have got after scoring. I feel really sorry for him about his injuries so hopefully karma has come to rescue him and make him a great player.

Palladino - N/A
Im not sure what happened between him and Del Piero but hopefully it finished when they went into the dressing room.

Ranieri - 9
People criticised him for the team sheet he gave out. After 90 minutes, we understand why he made that choice. The Tiago situation is more then just what we think in my opinion...

Forza Juventus!

I thought Marco had something to do with It, anyway according to sky it was something else. Hope you're right and nothing between the two players.

The whole team PLAYED LIKE A TEAM...
This is one of those matches where you cannot pin point a MOM. The whole team was MOM.
Ranieri did his homework well. The squad was mentally and physically prepared. In addition, each player played from his heart.
Although Palermo are a very taugh side to beat, they were simply out classed by a great Juventus.

Buffon: Not a single mistake let alone a couple of decent saves 7/10
Zebina: Did well both offesnively and defensively. 6.5/10
Legro: SOLID SOLID SOLID.. No slips, and very focused. In addition to assisting a goal. Keep up the good work Nicola... 7.5/10
Criscito: Marked his man well, with no mistakes. 6.5/10
Molinaro: Ran alot, helped the forwards and midfield alot 6.5/10
Camoranesi: Even if he isn't moving alot, he is very creative. His return to our squad was crucial. 7/10
Nocerino: A solid game 6.5/10
Zanetti: This is our hidden soldier. Without this guy our midfield will collapse 7/10
Nedved: Great efforts. Created alot of chances.. Great game.. 7.5/10
Iaquinta: A continuation to his great performance and scoring a beautiful goal. 7.5/10
Trezeguet: A beautiful goal with alot of assistance to others. Was involved alot in many plays WHILE not being the hitman 7.5/10

Subs:
Del Piero: What can I say, played 20 min or so. Scored a lovely freekick, assisted a goal and scored a penalty. 7.5/10 (9/10 for the 20 min)
Marcchionni: Welcome back buddy.. Nice goal.. 7/10
Palladino: Cannot be rated well.. Looked sharp though..

Ranieri: 8/10

Why did Del Piero shout on Palladino? Was it because he did not pass the ball?

He didnt have to headbutt him tho :D
Sure :D I myself against the harsh punishment for kids :p

There's nothing between them. let's hope media not to exaggerate the case.

Who passed the ball to Del Piero before the Marchionni goal?
Molinaro. he's improving but still is an average player IMO. tonight I realized how his face looks like Zambrotta :D

Del Piero had a good game and scored, as I said he would, however he was always going to be good. I'm usually in favour of him starting on the bench, but you just knew he was going to be hungry tonight. He could have started IMO.
