My Ratings:

Buffon - Not a lot to do. He made only two saves and only the first one recuired an effort. 6.0

Zebina - Combined well with Camo. Involved in every action from the right side and did reasonably well in defense 6.5

Legrottaglie - Excellent. Commanded the defense, tried hard in attack when we had a FK or CK and did great in taking the ball out of our part of the field 7.0

Criscito - Confident tonight. And i don't know if you've noticed but he an ellegant type of defender. Not a butcher but he's someone who's using his brain. If he was only stronger... 6.5

Molinaro - Solid. 6

Camoranesi - Closed the midfield together with Nocerino and Zanetti and Palermo were forced to use long balls. Runs all the time. Poor crosses tonight 6.5

Nocerino - Makes many unnecessary fouls but he has a huge heart and he can't stop running and fighting. Great defensively 6.5

Zanetti - The usual 6.5

Nedved - My MOM. Reminded us of season 2002/03 and of last year's great matches 8.0

Iaquinta - I can't imagine how annoyed the defenders feel with Iaquinta. I mean, he gives them no rest. Always running after them, forcing them to lose the ball. Owned Barzagli, scored a goal, took 2 very good free kicks. One of the best tonight 7.5

Trezeguet - The usual Trez ? Nope
Trez tonight was a winger as much as he was a striker. I've never seen him run as much as he did today. Scored a great goal. 7.5
-------------

Del Piero - Looks like another player when he's given the last 20-30 minutes and when he's against tired legs. Fantastic free kick, assist and another goal. 7.5

Marchionni - Did well during the time he was given and was rewarded with a goal. 6.5

Palladino - n/r
------------

Ranieri - We all sweared at him before the match but it looks like he outsmarted us again. Right tactics , right players, right subs. 7.5

And the crowd demanding for more goals?

And mess up the whole midfield structure?

There was absolutely no need for this move. We were in control of the game and were in no way needing a fifth man in the middle. The team looked hungry and both the players and the fans wanted more goals, replacing a forward with a midfielder would have ruined all that.
yep totally agree we didnt need Tiago at that time, C-Ra chose the right man in Palla

Rating and analysis.

Buffon: 6 [wasn't really tested, but always careful]

Zebina: 6.5 [Jonthan was great TBH, after several matches frozen out, he's performing really great, one of the few players I'd never want to see him out of Juve, unlike many people who keep bashing him criticizng the man]

Legro: 7 [Improving with each game and becoming a leader on the back, Bravo Nicola]

Criscito: 6 [I like him, It shows he plays with passion and I hope he improves more in the future, he wasn't tested much in the 1st half though]

Molinaro: 6 [Bad first half, pretty good 2nd half....he should work alot on his passes, crosses and should never hesitate...for a player at his position he should be able to pass better]

Nocerino: 5.5 [Wasn't his day and his passes and crosses are horrible, seriously]

Zanetti: 6.5 [Decent match, not more]

Camoranesi: 6 [Wasn't that good, but wasn't bad....I expected more from him]

Nedved: 7.5 [Man of the match, I would give him 8 had he scored, 10/10, no mistakes, playing with heart, I love the pavel:touched:]

Iaquinta: 7.5 [I was just telling Jack what a player we have, what kind of attackers at our disposal we have this year, I enjoyed watching him, playing with heart, sometimes I feel Del Piero and Nedved playing on the field for having such a heart]

Trezeguet: 7 [First time I see David moving alot and running, great goal, moved pretty well on the field]

Del Piero 7.5 [2goals, 1assist....what an assist, PROFESSOR]

The rest no ratings.....Marcho's goal should be dedicated to Ikoninhosa and Del Piero's to Seven.

Ranieri: good subs, good tactics, try to keep attacking this way.

Tiago for Nocerino would've made sense as Noce had a yellow card. Trez didn't really need the rest as he had a couple weeks off.

The commentator asked Cobolli if we're becoming antipathic to the Italians again and Gigli answered "If we continue winning like this i have no problems if they find us anthipatic"

OK, match report time...
Zebina - 6 - Held up well. Didn't pull any crazy fouls. Got engaged in the attack and generally didn't let anything through on defense. Could have closed down a cross here and there, but that's about it.
I think he deserves a 7 in this game although he refused to continue playing in the last stages of the game. He really came into it when the midfield didn't know what to do with the ball. He just cut through Palermo & pushed forward.

Nedved - 8 - What can an international break and retiring from the NT buy you? I don't know what exactly, but Neddy needs to bottle it. He was a lion out there. Great ball control, great vision, great distribution. He wreaked havoc on offense. He even made a few good shots on goal (and some great assists) -- cut off only by sharp plays by Barzagli and the GK. He got things going the other way on defense. Someone in midfield needs to win MOM, and he gets my vote. But that last PK given was not a foul -- good thing it didn't matter.
Thank God Neddy is back! The last PK was a foul. Neddy chipped the ball & attempted to jump over the defender who impeded him. Clear penalty.

Nocerino - 6.5 - Good distribution. Not as effective on either end of the pitch as he was in the very middle. But was an engine among the rest of our midfield.
Good distribution? I have to question this. Honestly everytime Nocerino got the ball he immediately turned back & passed it to our defence or started gesticulating with his arms wildly as if asking what he should do with the ball. Third choice you don't want to know. He is a liability.

Del Piero - 8 - Brilliant off the bench. Classic set piece mastery, and you knew it was just coming. Great distribution and, dare I say, some speed in motion in attach... much unlike his sloth-like performances of late. Must have springs in his boots, because he may have been my MOM if he played the whole game.
He almost scored right after coming after a brilliant interplay with Trez. If only the last pass was not intercepted. DP has got his speed back :D

It's not a matter of rest, Trezeguet doesn't get exhausted anyway but it is to save him in case he gets a bad tackle and injure himself.

Unless u heard Del Piero, I dont know how u can say Palla insulted him.

ADP is a veteran, and under no circumstances should he have reacted the way he did to a fellow teammate. We all love Del Piero, but just because he is Del Piero doesn't excuse his actions. If it were Zebina who did that, ppl would be calling for his head.
Thats because Del Piero isn't Zebina, Del Piero and Palladino play almost in the same position. Del Piero is like a father for Palladino. We all know how Class Del Piero is and there's no way he would react like that unless If he's provoked and insulted really bad. I've been following Del Piero since long time now, and as a fan I wouldn't accept someone as young as Palladino to insult Del Piero.

And If you're wondering how I heard Del Piero....No, I didn't hear him...According to sky commentators I posted what happened.

The ref Tombollini in Domenica Sportiva has just gone through the dubious moments of our match and :

1. That certainly wasn't a corner kick (resulted with our first goal) because Legro was the one who last touched the ball
2. The handball before Trez scored would have resulted with a PK but only if Trez didn't score. Since we scored an advantage was given
3. Clear foul over Nedved before Del Piero scored from FK
4. Clear Penalty kick

It was great refereeing. Only that small mistake the linesman made for the corner kick.
