The ref Tombollini in Domenica Sportiva has just gone through the dubious moments of our match and :

1. That certainly wasn't a corner kick (resulted with our first goal) because Legro was the one who last touched the ball
2. The handball before Trez scored would have resulted with a PK but only if Trez didn't score. Since we scored an advantage was given
3. Clear foul over Nedved before Del Piero scored from FK
4. Clear Penalty kick

It was great refereeing. Only that small mistake the linesman made for the corner kick.
As for the Milan game, he definitely said that there was absolutely nothing to look at as it was as clean as it can get.

Del Piero said everything is great between him and Palladino and he asks not to look for scandals where there aren't any. He says such things happen during a match but everything is normal when they're calm again, in the locker room.

Donadoni is in the studio and Ale says he'll continue giving his best. He says he's still very young, only 33 (he smiles here) and he can give a lot more to Italy.

I posted this in the LIVE thread, but it was closed. I think it deserves discussion:

Congrats ya'll. It just seems like its two extremes, we either fight for the three points with a 2nd half late goal, or totally thrash our opponents.

On a different note, what's up with the Mickey Mouse Club cheering we saw towards the end of the 2nd half. Greg also noted this earlier. I mean I just hope this isn't part of our new management's "strategy" to shed the club in a more preferable light. I don't remember I saw Curva Sud tonight once!!

I didn't see Gattuso's slap to Acquafresca but was it a yellow, red, "prova TV"?
it was like a pat on the back, but on his face :D

Yeah, tehy'll be careful with home games so maybe the linesmen will have the flag up when Iaquinta is called for being offside when in fact he's behind Buffon. :D

Tiago not starting??????????????????

STINKerman WTF????????

Hope it's just a joke.
that came back to bite you in the ass ;)

Did you saw the PK... NO Ref in the world would give a PK from that angle.
Actually, it was such a horrible call cause the defender practically pulled the shirt of Ronaldo, but since the ball wasn't near them and wasn't going to reach them it was a soft penalty and a stupid decision by Bianco. I'm sure if Ronaldo didn't call out like a bitch and Berlusconi's sniper crosshairs lined on the head of the ref, the penalty wouldn't have been given.

So Tiago was dropped but he fixed that with starting Iaquinta. That's bullshit. It would have been much better to start with Del Piero and Tiago.

The team will be one dimensional as always, Trezeguet invisible and Iaquinta will work his ass out to do stuff up front, where Nedved gets isolated without help and Camoranesi covering for Zebina's forward runs.

Palermo to win.
seems like his "gamble" paid off.

Fu*k it.Ranieri is idiot...
Ranieri is a genius. Against a 5 man midfield where there are 3 CM's, you need physical players to combat and beat them.

Stupid tacklin by the Palermo defender, Neddy dived, it wasnt even a contact in their box, we shouldnt get that penalty...
Nedved looked for the foul, and left his right leg trailing so there will be contact with Biava.

FORZA JUVE!!!! we kicked some pink-clad asses today! what's up with dp and palla? menopause setting in?
What happen with Palla and Del Piero?
For those who are inventing stories about Del Piero-Palladino that Del Piero is Jealous and these stupid silly reasons, should probably stay out of typing. Palladino asked for ball, Del Piero prefered to pass it somewhere else and Palladino insulted Alex.... Of course Ale didn't accept this and considering who Del Piero is and the diff of the age between them he couldn't accept that but shout and have a small contact with Palladino. I don't know what Palladino was thinking of but I wouldn't want to imagine a kid who barely started with Juve insulting someone like Del Piero.

Unless u heard Del Piero, I dont know how u can say Palla insulted him.

ADP is a veteran, and under no circumstances should he have reacted the way he did to a fellow teammate. We all love Del Piero, but just because he is Del Piero doesn't excuse his actions. If it were Zebina who did that, ppl would be calling for his head.
like most of you i don't know exactly what happened, but i lip read Del Piero and he told Palla, "Stai zitto", which means be quiet or shut up. What i initially thought was that either Palla was saying something he shouldn't have to an opponent or else he was complaining to the ref to give a penalty. Now the truth will come out soon, but i doubt palla insulted dp cause he is an idol for him, adn tried to copy him.

Ranieri - made all the right choices today. 8
he made the right choices, but i'm sure if we had scrapped a win or drawn everyone would have been insulting him due to not starting tiago

We have now the best attack in Serie A with 29 goals.
and best home defensive record with only 3 conceeded, drawn with Catania. We also have the best home attacking record with 19 scored

4 is definitely our magic number this season ;)
why? we won 5-0. Could it be cause 4 different players scored? though it doesn't sound logical

Do we have 25 or 28 points now?
25 drawn with Udinese and Roma

Unfortunately media and press will make a big fuss out of this. I'm pretty confident they both shaked hands in the dressing room now.

But he still didn't talk about the Milan game. He'll do that in 5 minutes because now they are showing the highlights of that match.

Or maybe i'm not watching it live :(

I thought Pirlo's freekick was good but Ale's was a whole new level above it. Maybe Tiago will be used in coppa italia.

In December we play five games in 21 days. Three of these games are away, against Milan, Empoli and Lazio. I am sure all our players will get to play in the coming games.

That's a bunch of games. I hope we go through the winter in top shape this year. It's good that we have quite a number of options.

Colantuono: Juve moan too much
Sunday 25 November, 2007
Palermo boss Stefano Colantuono admits his side made a lot of mistakes in Turin – but so did the referee.

“We didn’t even turn up tonight. It was a terrible performance and we took the wrong approach, as we seemed scared of Juventus,” he said after the 5-0 defeat.

“Unfortunately they were superior and crushed us, we should have feared them less than we did. In any case, we are in a good mid-table position and have time to recover from this.”

However, the tactician had some complaints over the referee, who awarded a corner that led to Juve’s opener when the ball had come off Bianconeri defender Nicola Legrottaglie.

“I didn’t like that incident with the corner. This week I have heard far too much moaning from Juve about referees and they talked continually. I’d like to see if they complain now as well.”

Colantuono was referring to the criticism from Juve stars such as Gigi Buffon, David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero on the many errors that have gone against them this season.

It had been suggested that the referees automatically awarded 50-50 decisions against them due to the psychological pressure associated with the Calciopoli scandal.

“I am not saying it would have changed the game, as clearly Juve would have won, but there was also a foul leading up to Alessandro Del Piero’s goal,” added the Palermo boss.

“Let’s just say it was a negative evening all round and we must immediately put it behind us.

Thats because Del Piero isn't Zebina, Del Piero and Palladino play almost in the same position. Del Piero is like a father for Palladino. We all know how Class Del Piero is and there's no way he would react like that unless If he's provoked and insulted really bad. I've been following Del Piero since long time now, and as a fan I wouldn't accept someone as young as Palladino to insult Del Piero.

And If you're wondering how I heard Del Piero....No, I didn't hear him...According to sky commentators I posted what happened.
Ive also been a Del Piero worshiper for longer than I can remember. I understand fully how he personifies the term class. However, I dont like to see our players headbutting each other, regardless of what was said or who said what. If it was the other way around (Palladino headbutting Del Piero), my reaction would be the same. Also, my point about Zebina was to show that ones reputation shouldn't stand above ones actions. Ppl are immediately taking sides, and thats simply unfair given they have no idea of what really happened.

SKY commentators, or any Italian media, will exploit any hole they see to find a controversy. This is a sad fact of the Italian media and their relationship with Juve. In fact, they already have the incident on slow motion replay, as if this is the most controversial thing to happen this weekend (Atalanta probably have something to say about that). Than again, the fact Im talking about it only gives these media justification for constantly showing it. Basically, take anything they say with a grain of salt. They already have ADP lips read, but not Palla's, go figure.

Ranieri salutes Del Piero approach
Sunday 25 November, 2007
Claudio Ranieri praised Alex Del Piero’s attitude and admits it is not easy to pick a starting XI at Juventus.

“Everyone in this squad deserves to play, but it is better for a Coach to have these dilemmas rather than struggling to fill the gaps,” said the tactician.

Del Piero was on the bench for the 5-0 demolition job on Palermo, but in his 20 minutes on the field scored two goals and set up another for Marco Marchionni.

“He has the right hunger and dived right into the game. I saw he had a bit of a row with Raffaele Palladino, but he is the captain and was right in making sure his status was respected.”

The Under-21 international had complained about a pass when Del Piero was caught on camera telling Palladino to “shut up.”

This was a very important victory for the Bianconeri, who had drawn their last two games before this big result.

“I was very worried beforehand, as Palermo are a great squad and were unbeaten in six. We were afraid of them, but did not allow them to launch their usual counter-attacks,” continued Ranieri.

“I am very happy with the performance, all the players are in good shape. I saw a great spirit and we are proving that with each game. What we may lack in quality we make up for in character.”

Juventus are in second place alongside Roma and Udinese on 25 points, but the Giallorossi and leaders Inter have a game in hand.

“It is a very entertaining season and we want to keep it alive as long as possible.”

Am i not great? :D

There was the Nedved bunch of zanies at the railings. But other than that, the Olimpico looked like it was forced to watch an Italian military parade. Here I am jumping on sofa cushions at home. It didn't look so cold there where people couldn't get up out of their seats. But damn -- with a crowd response like that, they should be wearing opera glasses. :frown:

I thought Pirlo's freekick was good but Ale's was a whole new level above it. Maybe Tiago will be used in coppa italia.
We will have 100% certainty that it's about personality and not play if we don't at least see Tiago against Empoli next month.

About "Palla - Alex incident"

From what I saw it seems like Palla said something what he shouldn't and he understood that cuz he would react on Alex reaction. And also we all know how calm Alex is and we remeber how he don't like to be drawn into such incidents even when he had all right. So I suppos that Alex had right to react at Palla like he did, but still I found that shameful for our team and players aswell.
