The only problem with the 3 man MF it's hinder Pirlo's effect, he plays so deep with 2 other MF around that his impact is not felt as much as a 2 man MF where he can go forward and be the one to make the final pass, A lot of passes missed by Marchi and especially Vidal in the final third would've been another story if it was Pirlo.

It;s good and bad actually. It's true a lot of passed were misplaced by Vidal and Marchi but at the same time I don't like the idea of being Pirlo independent. I feel he's going to pick up an injury some-time soon.

I wanted to see Del Piero, who didn't want to? But that's not my point, what I'm trying to say is we look better with two strikers, we can finish balls better and we don't isolate the lone striker like we did with Matri against Catania and Vuci against Milan (Vuci's two chances thanks to him and no credits to any team work).

Del Piero or not. We have 5strikers in the team, 4 of them capable of playing together, 2 of them at least can make differences, profit from it and field them.

Matri was left isolated against Catania, and that is clearly the big weakness of lone striker systems.

However, I wouldn't say Vucinic was isolated against Milan. There weren't many occasions when he didn't have reasonably close support from Vidal or Marchisio, mostly Vidal.

I've just been pleased to see flexibility from Conte over the last few games, as I was concerned when he was appointed under the 4-2-4 headline that he would be stcuk on one system.

I'm not a fan of sticking too much to the same formation system. 4-2-4 or 4-1-4-1 what was worrying last night were his late subs and taking the risk. It worked, but I don't know if he'd repeat it again and if it would work again. Lets see.

You're arguing about a game that we've won and saying we should of played two strikers. Vucinic and Matri does not work, Del Piero cannot press anymore so whats the point in starting him against one of the top teams in the league? We cannot afford to carry players.

I'll soap it every game if we win and play one man upfront being Vucinic mind.

I moaned after the Catania game because clearly Matri is not good enough to play alone upfront and lacked any real support. That's why I moaned. Watching Vucinic tear Milan players a new one and bring his fellow team mates into numerous moves is something we've never seen from any of our other Strikers this season.

Yep Marchisio passing was good, but neither of them could make that pass that will break the defence, our wingers and FB aren't capables to put a decent cross and even if they do, the likelyhood that it will be met by our players is very slim, having Pirlo in that final third making those passes is much better and that's the benefit fo 2man MF, he have so many options and so much space he could be do so much damage.
