Adding on the debate if we should have played 4-4-2 or the tactics we used...

Clarence Seedorf:
“They were the better team. The loss, which we almost managed to avoid, is the right result. We shouldn’t loss heart though, the break now will do us good.
They did very well to change their tactics for this game. We had some trouble pressing their crowded midfield. We were under pressure from the start and we couldn’t impose our game on them and create chances.”
Have you seen Zlatan comment also after the game ?

He said that milan had no chance in winning the game , and it's good that they hold on until the last minutes and juve didn't score early .

. "Penso che loro siano stati migliori, è un bene che non abbiamo lasciato segnare la Juventus prima, ma se devo essere onesto non penso che avessimo chance di vincere "

Who's arguing tactically whether we dominated ball possession or not?

I'm talking about the goal not coming and Conte's subs.
Nothing guarantees a goal though, does it? Whether you have 1, 2 or 8 attackers doesn't really mean anything in terms of chances you create or goals you score.
For all we know, adding a second guy up front could have resulted in us getting fewer chances. Especially since basically all our chances were due to the cm's pushing up.

But yeah, it could have worked if, for example, someone else instead of Giac came on. But it could have messed up our flow/balance as well. I for one am quite happy that Conte noticed it & refused to go for the obvious change in formation.

I was watching the game on sky sport and the commentators were saying that Conte was going to take off Vidal and put in Matri 20 minutes before the end of the game but while Matri was warming up , Vidal was our most dangerous man by creating 3 consecutive chances on milan's net . So, he felt like everything's going ok and the team would probably score with even one man in front .

I disagree. (First part)

Nothing guarantees a goal like you said but it increases our chances to score. With one man upfront Marti/Dp alongside Vuci, Milan defenders were going to work even harder.

Another thing all of you keep forgetting because we won is that, Milan midfielders were too weak, too weak to be true. Even with one of Vidal/Pepe/Marchisio out there was no way they were going to set counter attacks. It was obvious it wasn't their day and it was too clear they wouldn't harm us even with taking one midfielder out for a striker/finisher.

We were too good but also Milan were too bad. Again, the 4-1-4-1 worked perfectly with Milan, but IMO his subs almost ruined a perfect night against a weak Milan.

I can already see the name callings, bashing, and the why didn't he put another striker had Bonera not fucked up there.

Cesare Maldini said something important on Al-Jazeera, I like Conte because he took the risks and did not make any subs, but god knows what would have happened had this game ended in a draw because it's not like Juve can catch a weak Milan team like the one we saw today.

That would have been my subs as-well

Matri for Vidal 70min

And if things were still 0-0 around min 85 Del Piero for Bonucci in the last 5min

Guess we'll disagree. I don't think a second guy up front, regardless of who it was, would have increased our chances to score. But we'll never know.

Had it not been for Buffon, they would have done exactly that at one point in the 2nd half. A big reason for how weak Milan were, was our midfield hussle. Give them space & room to breathe and they probably will create something sooner or later.

Yeah, that's probably true. Some retards would most likely have resorted to namecalling etc. :D

Rab you constant telling here that bonera fucked up
but for me it was just marchisio who closed down bonera so he couldn't do other
milan was outplayed by that goal just like barca did

I like our one strikers play more then our 2 strikers play
we don't rely on pirlo that much in our one striker play

They had one single chance. Unless we were really unlucky our net was going to remain clean

I like these certain matches when coaches have the balls specially in big games, Lippi in Italy vs Germany, 4 Strikers :touched:, Mourinho several times in big matches when he's losing or even drawing he takes one defender out and plays another striker, he takes the game to his opponents and it works 90% of the times if not more.

I don't know man, it's just me.

Marchisio did well for our first goal, actually he did brilliantly, but lets be honest Nesta wouldn't have tackled that ball.

When you tackle a ball it's because your man marking timing is too late and you have no other options, I don't know if Marchisio would have still scored but Nesta would have it made it almost impossible. Nesta rarely fucks up in these one-two passing situations. Been following him forever.

that is true i was happy when nesta leaved the field
he is amazing i was really impressed with him against barca :)
but saying our first goal only was scored due bonera failings i won't agree since marchisio and vucinic did excellent there
and matri low technical skills wouldn't help him there so i was glad vucinic was standing there for the 1-2 with marchisio
