Great spirit and determination. Lich, Pirlo, and Barzagli did well. Giach was lively when he came on.

DC and Pepe suck balls, and Pepe should've been the one going off, not Krasic! DC has, thus far, given up a
penalty and a goal (since his amazing attempt at chesting the ball in the area led to the corner which resulted
in the goal) but we are stuck with him until January at least :sergio:

Vucinic was doing well until he got sent off needlessly! That was sheer and utter stupidity on his part!

Side notes:

1) I want to see more of Vidal, Elia, and Quag in our next outing.
2) Our disciplinary record worries me; 3 games in, and we have already had 2 players needlessly sent off!

I'm really surprised how everyone has reacted to this game. I thought the first half was atrocious and we were lucky to lead with a goal that probably shouldn't have stood. The passing was simply awful and nearly everyone had a bad first half.

Then again, I missed last season due to circumstances in my life so I guess that gives you guys some perspective. You're right, we had a fighting spirit and we played better in the second half when we were a man down (although it was Bologna, and a home game). Still, our skills in the passing game are sorely lacking and we need to get better very soon.

Some players, like has been said, were just awful. Marchisio was horrendous, De Ceglie seemed to lose confidence quickly and was very poor as well. Chiellini seemed a little shaky and some of his passing was just simply bad. Pepe is Pepe, and even Krasic was a disappointment.

Barzagli is playing well, Lichtsteiner is better than I expected but I'm still not convinced he's first class material. Pirlo was magnificent, and I was also impressed by Matri's composure and skill. Del Piero could've caused some havoc in the second half, but Vucinic's idiotic yellow cards meant he needed to be subbed. Also, I think Vidal could be a crucial player for us but can he please play in his own position instead of LB next time?

All in all, I'm glad you guys are being positive but I was very disappointed in our performance. Yes, we had a lot of heart, but especially the first half was quite bad. Too many players are underperforming. And it must be said once again, we need more skill in our team. I hope Krasic is just out of form and Vidal gets in to the team quickly. And for the love of god, can Marchisio please step up his game asap??

I found that we dominated possession (60-40), but didn't do much with it. It's like we were basically trying to walk it into the goal.

So many times we lost the ball in their third because we were pushing too many passes - looking for that golden opportunity. I want to see someone running at a defender from 18-25 yards out with a view to shoot from time to time, instead of spraying it out onto the wing or trying to touch and break.

Need to make that possession count.

Based on the entire 90 minutes we could & should have won this game. And I did appreciate our players never giving up.

But dropping points at home against Bologna is a disastrous result, no matter the circumstances. And let's be honest, our goal should not have been allowed.

Buffon 6,5 -Basically had one save to make, which he did.
Lichtsteiner 6 - Decent game, but nothing spectacular.
Barzagli 7 - Yet another good game.
Chiellini 5,5 - Overall fine, terrible on the goal.
De Ceglie 5 - Rather poor.
Pepe 5,5 - One of those games.
Pirlo 6,5 - Can't say I was really impressed with his game. Lost the ball quite often, a number of bad passes, at times really slow in his decision making. Then again, there were those flashes of brilliance...
Marchisio 6 - Incredibly sloppy game, but the good just about outweighed the bad.
Krasic 5 - Not in good shape.
Del Piero 5,5 - Insufficient.
Vucinic 5 - Frustrating game (to watch). Thought the goal would release him, the opposite happened.

Matri 6 - Seemed to bother the Bologna defence more than the Vuci-DP combo in the first half.
Giaccherini 6 - A few positive sparks, but ultimately no end product.
Vidal NR - Actually looked terrible. Not only out of position, also out of sync.

This is what I meant when I said that sometimes a performance is more important than the result. I would have sure preferred to get 3 pts, but in longer term, the performance gives me hope for the rest of the season.
We now have brains (well, Pirlo), we showed guts, attitude, winning mentality. Sucks that we didn't crown it with a win.
Yes, when the performance is there.. results will follow.

The thing that KILLS me the most is that EVERYONE slipped today...we could have used those 2 pts and gone lone up at number 1 on the table.

Inter & Milan won't stay like this all season, eventually they will start winning games again, this is our time to take advantage so when it's our time to drop in performance and lose pts we have a healthier buffer.
Well said, agree completely. Of course we're all enjoying the lack of success from the 2 Milan clubs but lets be honest they are not 14th and 18th placed teams and its only a matter of time. We were every lucky to get 4 matches against low half and relegation battling teams and these 2 dropped points hurt alot but with a win against Catania thats 10 out of 12 points then our next 5 or so games are all against stronger opponents especially against those Chievo fucks and that last minute fluke Pellisier.

No. Just no. It was his worse game for a long time, to the extent Pirlo was covering the whole midfield by himself the second half.

Debatable, but in some ways I would agree with that.

That's just not true. Not that I would expect it from Pirlo either.

Here's the thing, I thought Marchisio was pretty mediocre when he actually got the ball to his feet. But we played 50 min with a man down & a 2 man midfield (where one guy was Pirlo ffs) and we still were never overrun in the middle. Now, that may not mean much to everyone, but to me it kinda does.

After their goal, they never really pressed that was why our midfield did not look troubled, but Marchisio certainly for the last 30 minutes, gave possession away alot and did not win many back. He was without a doubt one of our worst performers along with Chiellini and De Ceglie last night.

I can't watch games delayed. Ruins it. I also can't sleep when I know we are playing.
That killed me today. I was asleep by 11:00pm and I put my alarm on my ipod for 4:30am. Woke up at 1am and decided to turn off the alarm because I needed the sleep...woke up 3:30am, 4:50am and 6:30am.

Not 30 min, but the last 10-15 definitely. Should have come off, that much is obvious. Even looked slightly injured, just like in the game against Siena.

He was without a doubt one of our worst performers along with Chiellini and De Ceglie last night.
Obviously not "without a doubt", since we would have agreed if that was the case :D
