THURAM: Rubbish 4.5

LEGROTTAGLIE: quality . 7

MONTERO: Rubbish 5

ZAMBROTTA: Not bad, good link up with dp but poor defensively 6.5

CAMORANESI: too many fouls but reasonably effective 6.5

TACCHINARDI: Solid as always... our heart 7

APPIAH: very good 7.5

NEDVED: ok, effective in places but lost a lot of balls , linked well with dp 6.5

DEL PIERO: MOM quality display, his runs, his lay offs, passes , crosses , dribbles... class of the team 8.5

TREZEGUET: Mixed, 4 for the first half, 6 for the second... way too static

Ok as i see most Of you agree with me that Del piero was the MOM, that's the truth, the captain is doing very well recently. he looks very sharp and excited. This period resembles that of last year, when he rocked, hopefully he will continue like that. :)

a good match and another 3 points for juve. :thumb:.. goes precisely like in the script in a very very -slip-up-potentiol match.
Good match also for the Flying Donkeys... they dont dissapoint me at all..

i have to say that we woke up really late in this match... we have to wait untill the 2nd half to see juve playing like juve... a very shaky start to say the least and Chievo did themself good by capitalising through that penalty.. i cant help noticing that our defense is nowhere near solid... except for a certain zambrotta that is always effective atackingwise the backline is still doesnt have that click.. they doestnt cover chieevo attackers out of the match but sometime only waiting for them to come in... we are luckky that we still have time before we meet any quality opponent attackingwise..

tacchi and appiah had a ok match to say the least... but i IMO they should stamp their mark in game more... i especially expect more from appiah.. to have both davids and appiah on the same field only can i see the difference between those two.. appiah is way too invicible compare to davids... he need to run more , make that tackle, get yellow card or wahateva.. make that you-cant-run-freely-in-my-midfield impression... u know.. to think of it, i would be really sad to see that strange man with sunglasses running around , tackling, fouling ,getting yellow card in another jersey  ..

i also very happy to see that niggling run of camo again eventhough only in flashes.. saying that, camo still have to work more on the final ball.. the same also goes to nedved .. make a lot of runs but nothing useful.. was more in the receiving end of passes instead of his usual commanding role in giving killer passes.. both camo and and nedved had that the-best -still-yet-to-come impression but i hope/think that it wont be long be4 it will happen....

Del piero......... u have to respect some of the move this guy make today. not the best game eva but in some patches he did show his talent.. he provide the spark of creativity that can unlock defense.. putting the satisfying grim ;) to the face of those who waited on him for soo long.... forza alex... ........ oo.. the match :wallbang: ... ok.. well .. good performance.. but i have to say he did lose a lot of balls.. that is the price you have to pay to do imginary stuff... he is clicking nicely in the left flank and have a great suppoter in gianluca zambrotta... a hell lot better than camo-thuram on the right...:thumb:

trezege oo trezege... the only person that seem very disadvantaged in the 4231 tactic.. he lives on other people passes and look very guilty if that dont happen... seeing how he dont waste that only chance he got showed his hunger of goals.. but even that was a very generous mistake from that chievo guy who failed to head the ball away... i am very skeptic though if that should happen again with the likes of nesta-maldini , cordoba-cannavaro and chivu-samuel....... all the best for our top trump striker..

I still saw a good nedved game. he was not like a headless chicken, he recovered some balls, did some passes, hitted the post. Im not saying that he was a magician in the field, but he was in almost all the plays and attacks, so that is what count for me ok ;)

Thuram was shaky, that sanatana was doing a mess of him.

Like you, i saw a good performance form trezeguet, because he lmos never touched the ball in the whole game, and when he did, he create trouble.

In all you other points i agree.

Davids was very good too. That fault was stupid, but he gained some balls in the fiel and did very good in the few minutes he was in.
Yeah, Nedved was fairly good, but I taped the game and just looked over it and I take back my rating. He didn't deserve an 8, more like a 7. On second view DP was better than him.

Also, about Trezeguet, that is his weakness. When he doesn't get service he sucks. He needs to make chances for himself sometimes, like Henry and Van Nistelrooy. His finishing is lethal, but he needs to move about a bit more.

Yeah, DP is on form at the moment. He's not walking about anymore. He's running for everything, challenging defenders and beating them more than half of the time, holding up the ball well, making nice passes... the only thing his performance lacked tonight was a goal. Well done Alex :thumb:

This match, I think Nedved Zambo and Apah are play well. Nedved, he shows lot of energy. He did everything for team although he play in the national team 2 match in 5 days.He is center of team both juve and czech. he pass a ball so sharp and shoot very well. and last I think NEDVED is the player who the most meaning for juventus.

What is with people??? Guys, we're Italian champions, CL finalists and beat the shit out of Milan in pre-season. Now we have a 100% record in Serie A and this is the time you choose to question our strength?? So what Roma beat Brescia, we beat Empoli just as good. And it's Roma that have a lot to prove this season, we're already in good shape and ready to go.

    I mean come on!

Also this match showed why lippi is not playing davids , his is not fit to play and he is away from his form.
The only thing that trez did in this match is the goal and i dont know why he always have a curse on him when he is near to his form he get injured.

exactly . And besides look at Milan, they were lucky to get a draw vs Bologna...and Inter...again lucky to get a last gasp win... So what if Roma won 5-0 ? You think they are gonna do it every week ? Roma have scrored 7 goals and conceded 1 so far. Juve have scored 7 and conceded 2 and Chievo are much stronger opposition than Brescia.

and Juve have other things on their mind too - the Galatasaray game is just couple of days away and Lippi would have been cautious in his approach as he didn't want to risk his players and at the same time, he couldn't rest any of the key players since the opposition was Chievo.

And its only the start of a loooong season and we've won both games so far.

You guys are being overcritical to say the least.

Too many comments to read prior to this so I'd probably be repeating what others said.

Chievo really made us sweat alot this time round, luckily we found Legrottaglie scored immediately after they scored, otherwise it might have been really tough to crack them open.

Don't have time to give points to players right now, but DP was again the MoM so hopefully he'll keep it up for the next 2 important matches.

Hopefully Moggi listed down under his 'Players to Purchase' Chievo's Santana....really excellent stuff.

Last night's performance was pretty satisfactory, we ended up with 3 points without suffering much. I'm not sure about the credibility of the penalty kick they earned as Camo barely touched Sculli inside the area but then again that might be a biased point of view. Anyway, here are the ratings:

Buffon - Did well to stop Santana from equalizing towards the end of the match but looked hesitant at long balls. 6.5

Thuram - It might be Lippi's instructions but Thuram rarely surged forward towards the right flank but still suffered a great deal from Santana. 4.5

Legrottaglie - A good performance from the ex-Chievo defender, he looked highly motivated as he didn't even want to waste time celebrating his goal. 6.5

Montero - A somehow shaky performace by Montero but didn't commit any grave mistakes out there. Made some good clearances too. 5

Zambrotta - A solid performace from Zambro but not as creative as usual offensively. He might be tired after his national exploits. 6

Tacchinardi - It was a midfield battle out there and Tacchi won most challenges even though Chievo were very agressive. 7

Appiah - Commanding role, good tackles and recovery of the ball, nice distributing of the ball but some passes weren't very acurrate 6.5

Camoranesi - Same as Zambrotta, played well with nice runs and good passes. 6

Nedved - Looked out-of-sorts at times and also strangely gave away alot of balls but recovered some. The post denied a goal from Neddy too. 6

Del Piero - Excelled again on the left side of midfield in this new formation, good distribution of the ball and nice imagination even though there were no direct threats towards their goal by him. 7

Trezeguet - Was absent for most of the match but showed up and scored a goal from probably his first touch of the match. 5.5

P.S. 1 Nice to see that Legro wasn't booed by the Chievo fans.

P.S. 2 When Davids entered in the second half all Juve fans and players looked happy even Camo (who was the one Davids replaced).

    what pos. he plays in
He's a left winger but I think he can play on the right as well. He gave Thuram hell all night long. You should've seen how he did him in, what a dribble!
