In any case, we couldn't fight that. Even if we matched City's 40m eur transfer fee offer and whatever they offered for wages, who's to say that they weren't gonna raise the offer?
Of course they were gonna do it and after one or two more bids from us, we were gonna lose eventually.

Our only chance was noone to bid for Kun .

:agree:

No harm in Juve giving it a go, but it was always a long shot.

So?

Serie A isn't as attractive as Spain or England to most players now.

English teams haven't overpaid that badly for non-English players in general, though there are obvious exceptions.

Wages are another matter, though.
i know, they started it with Chelsea, Real Madrid followed their policy and now Man City complete the threesome. :p

seriously, how many millions did they spend compared to Serie A teams and haven't achieved more UEFA competitions

Yes i'm blaming Marotta for not giving ATM the money before Copa when we had an agreement with the player for God sake we've been talkin to Aguero's people from Mai and we couldn't conclude .
Offering Aguero 7mil when he's already in 6mil year at ATM is no good either.
A 16% pay raise is not good?

I'd throw my mon down a flight of stairs for a 16% pay raise

Why would Atletico Madrid only want to listen to one bid for someone like Aguero?

Would you?

And then there is the little issue of his salary and whether he actually wanted to play in Italy or not.
we all knew hed go for that amount heck thats what they even came out and asked for, so which is it? salary or fee? we need to stop with the excuses, marotta is a provincial bum of a director, we are not going anywhere with him

Who is making excuses for marotta?

I asked you, if you were Atletico Madrid why would you only listen to one bid?

45 Million Euros was the original asking price.

It's kinda funny that you are getting upset at this when you consider that you were one of the people saying that he was way overrated.

i m bitter because man city of all paid a 'normal' fee for him, meaning ath madrid wanted to play ball
And man city could also afford to give him a ridiculous amount of money in salary, which was something that Juve wasn't going to do.

And I find it funny that people think that Marotta has carte blanche in regards to the player salaries.

That's pretty fucking laughable.

He has higher ups to report to

i m actually not upset at missing out on him per se, but rather the manner, which only tells me marotta will never get anyone of significance here.

But we can blame Juventus for not being an attractive enough proposition, even five years after calciopoli.
Exactly, Juve hasn't earned their right to be chosen for less money. It's a sad reality we need to face, if we had managed to make CL this season it would be a different story.

Even for Rossi; he was a key reason why Villarreal made CL, for him to leave and not play this season would be a pretty tough pill to swallow.
