In a blind auction we could beat them, but if they can just buy half his contract for €3,5m next summer (using the clause) then he stays there for another season doesn't he? We can't buy it back/reject it?

I don't know the rules that well, but I'm assuming we can't really stop them from doing it.

Yep.

What I find odd though is that seemingly not a single team was willing to splash the cash outright to co-own him immediately.
Every team just wanted a loan with the option to buy half his contract.

Makes me think that there's little confidence (left) in Seba...

Unless that is already stipulated in the contract he's going to sign now, that will need to be decided when/if the co-own starts.
"that" in this quote refers to the question where he'll play in that coming season.

When you co-own a player, both teams need to agree where said player will play for the season.

If reports are true it's definitely a goodbye. One season loan, then Parma will buy his %50, then they will extend it for another season. He will be 26. This should be some kind record. Giving player away for gaining experience until he is 26.

I just hope it's only loan. We'll need him when Del Piero retired.
Why all this drama?

They can buy his half, but it is to be determined where he will play during the co-ownership. Also, if he really impresses I don’t think we will fail to get him from Parma unless he becomes like Criscito.

Yup it is. The agent confirmed that he will be presented tonight.

Move thread.

Buona fortuna, Seba
Why? We still own him. The Criscito thread was never moved. And, for a change we'll actually be talking about his performances on the field this time around.

Thanks then. I could see us trying to buy over Parma with a few more youth players next summer actually, try and get an affiliation going.

Un-sticky it at least.
Odd that it was a sticky in the first place. Same with Legrottaglie.
