In a blind auction we could beat them, but if they can just buy half his contract for €3,5m next summer (using the clause) then he stays there for another season doesn't he? We can't buy it back/reject it?

What I find odd though is that seemingly not a single team was willing to splash the cash outright to co-own him immediately.
Every team just wanted a loan with the option to buy half his contract.
Makes me think that there's little confidence (left) in Seba...
Unless that is already stipulated in the contract he's going to sign now, that will need to be decided when/if the co-own starts.

When you co-own a player, both teams need to agree where said player will play for the season.
