Ah, always enjoyable giving those cunts a beating, especially when they've been as full of themselves as they were in the build-up to this game. Few clubs overestimate their own importance quite as much as Dundee Utd do.

Okay performance overall.
First half was fairly nothingy. Aberdeen had the ball but rarely looked like doing anything with it, but the possession was pretty safe and Utd didn't look capable of doing anything from open play.
The wet conditions meant it was virtually impossible to catch a ball played over the defence, so both teams were happy to play a pretty high line, which made it very tough to find space in midfield.
Aberdeen struggled to play forward because McGinn and Pawlett were playing too high up, so the deeper players rarely had the chance to find them. Going long to Zola - the other option for Aberdeen to work the ball forward - wasn't an option because he was being shit.
Second half was better because McGinn and Pawlett started to move better. Also, Utd's defence inexplicably dropped deeper, which created the space in midfield that Aberdeen needed to play.
Aberdeen - mainly through Robson - did a pretty good job of killing the game with possession after getting the lead. Utd never really managed to build a sustained period of pressure.
Only defensive issues were failing to win as many first headers at set-pieces as the should and the odd occasion where an opponent was allowed to run when the foul should have been made.
Still don't see how to make a balanced team with Zola and McGinn in it. They don't move well off the ball and they prevent the team from pressing - Zola due to being too slow and McGinn due to being too lazy. That means you are going to have to focus on dropping off and holding shape, which pushes you towards being counter-attacking team, but Zola is of little to no use in a counter-attack.
