Juventus are said to be retaining an interest in out-of-favour Real Madrid forward Javier Saviola, who may well become available during the summer transfer market...
The 27-year-old arrived at the Bernabeu this summer with high hopes of carving out a starting place in Bernd Schuster's lineup after his free transfer from Barcelona.
However, a fruitless season has seen him mainly on the sidelines, and it is thought that he may be allowed to move on in the summer for a small fee.
This could be of particular interest to the bianconeri, who are currently embroiled in a battle with Real Madrid for Werder Bremen attacking midfielder Diego Ribas.
The Brazilian, however, seems to be more interested in Madrid - who can also have more financial pulling power than the Italian giants - and seems unlikely to move to Turin.
Should that be the case then Saviola could well head to Italy in order to shore up the bianconeri's attacking options, albeit from a second-striker position.
'El Conejito' could cost the Serie A outfit as little as €4.5m.

Last week there were news that madrid wants to sell him, and i said then he would be great in juve and i still think that he's just perfect for juve. We all know that he's talented, played for spanish giants (madrid, barca) thats say alot about his talent. Still practicaly young (27) can be usefull for atleast 6 years, his price is pretty low and can cover for del piero's place in the team. We revived sissoko's career and now he's playing pretty well for us and am sure saviola will do the same once he plays for our team. The question is, can he accept to be a sub for our attackers cause this is the main reason he wants to leave madrid??
Saviola could replace Palladino in the team, but as we know Palladino is only back up to wingers right now. This is also a position where Saviola wouldnt perform well. So Saviola would only replace Palladino as a squad player, rather than a direct swap in terms of what Palladino is used for.
So why do we need Saviola? He isnt a good choice of back up for Trezeguet as they differ in style of play. With Iaquinta and Del Piero there as well, this doesnt make much sense. Saviola is not a playmaker who can be used in a position further behind the forwards either.
For me it's a no brainer. Save the money, bring back Giovinco who can play as the playmaker or replace del piero when need be. Giovinco is more versitile overall.
Use Palladino as trade bait as it seems he wont get his chances in his true role.
The problem Juve has right now is that Trezeguet, although he is a great goal scorer, is a static player player....he scores and does nothing else...when he doesnt score he does nothing and the team players with 10 men on the field. It's a harsh criticism as he scores more often than he doesnt but still, it is hard for the club to find a good back up player for him, as anyone with his characteristics are more often first choice players at their respective clubs and wouldn't want to join Juve and sit on the bench.
If players like Saviola are going to be looked at, and other names such as Benzema, then the team will have to play different football, and that style most likely wont suit Trezeguet upfront.
Not sure if anyone else sees the situation as such such.
