As for the topic at hand, I do not agree with gay marriage at all, however people should have some freedom to do what they want if it doesn't harm others. That is why I oppose gay couples being allowed to adopt children. That is where the line should be drawn.
Aside from the religous point of view the problem I see with leagalizing gay marriage even though not being allowed to adopt is that if infact Gay is caused by the society and not by birth, it would further make way for an even greater number of gay people. because more n more might be asking themselves " am I gay?"--"should I be gay?"
I disagree - it's common for religious people to believe that they hold a monopoly on morals and correct living...the fact is fewer people are religious these days and its perfectly possible to have a decent moral code without any religion in your life. Just as it's not uncommon to have religious people behave in all sorts of hypocritical and vile ways.

I'm not religious. I haven't been influenced by religion in anyway. Yet I've never beaten anyone, I've never shot anyone, I've never killed anyone, I've never raped anyone and I've never bombed anyone.
You could say religion influenced laws true but who knows what way it would be without religion. I think we'd probably all just be getting high and laughing our asses off all day long.

A gay couple adopting a child is not going to harm you. I think that if they fought this much to be able to legally adopt children theyre not gonna screw up
But I also think that is gonna be somehow strange for the kids because its like you have two moms and which one is your mom and your dad? It probably wont make sense for a three year old

I think everyone has a default religion. It just might not be a classic, world-renowned one (America, for example, is littered with one-off, arguably cult-like, "God is never angry and domineering, and Jesus is my best buddy" religious movements of questionable origins). It might not be any single religion. It may be a whole different definition of god, or gods, or creators -- or even a lack thereof. And it comes in varying intensities.
But humans have been programmed for personal metaphysical questions about their place in the world, and it's been that way since the beginning of history. It's no coincidence that ancient cultures and civilizations organically developed religious beliefs and practices very similar to each other in nature, despite the fact they evolved thousands of miles from each other.
So IMO, anyone who gets self-righteous with anyone about they have religion and someone else doesn't smacks of elitist, narrow-minded self-centeredness. Away with you...

i agree that God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. And on the subject of same sex marriage, it is my considered opinion that any man who says that it is only another man's ass that can get him excited, needs to have his head examined by a team of specialised psychiatrists. sadly, this would lead to these attention-hungry individuals depriving persons with real problems of badly needed help.

Since this is a god thread, isnt weed a natural substance? Did god accidently put weed in his perfect world? I dont think God makes mistakes. Does banning 'nature' since you were so found of it earlier in the gay discussion not seem alittle off?
Yes FATHER i have smoked weed, and i will never do it again. And my original point was to say that if we all just sat and smoked weed all day we wouldn't be doing anything productive, now would we?! Also, i'm really happy you can do all these things while you're high, what a big FEAT! *applause*, I do all those things w/out getting high. Also, i'm not supporting alcohol either! so that's that. Last point, As u know marijuana has medicinal uses as well, so it wasn't created by mistake by God. Believe it or not, it can be used by ppl who don't do sports, write papers, or research, but by ppl who are dying or suffering from various deceases where Marijuana can help them.
