 well said, sometimes it is hard to look at the bigger picture but while i am not averse to the BOd looking for a replacement, sacking him NOW would be counter-productive
Why you guys make a big story out of this? The only problem if Ranieri will stay next season or not. The rest is easy. Few care about the details (of timing ofcourse)..

it's still doesn't matter for me :D

The only thing matters is if there is a real difference in prize money. Jack said 2nd place takes 5 million euros more than 3rd, if that's the case well I surely want that money :pimp:

But I doubt that is the case..

No it would not be counter-productive. That's nonsense.
andrew how is it not be counter- productive? we still have 5 games to play until the end of the season. going into these games with out a manager is way to risky. i would agree with sacking him if we were in earlier rounds bec the new manager would get to see in person where we lack and the player we need and the players we need to get rid off.

If we're going to remove him anyway, we might as well do it now. I see no point in keeping him on while we screw ourselves over in the league just to remove him at the end. The season is finished, screwed royally, and we should just pull the trigger now as clearly having this guy in charge is counter-productive.

Ferrara couldn't do the job till the end of the season until we hire a new coach?

I think he'd bring a great atmosphere in the club that's very needed atm.

I really get the feeling that the team has just lost respect for their coach. While Mourinho is ramping up and down the line cheering on his team or ripping them a new ass hole. Our's stands in his box with his arms crossed and bites his lower lip (or is it his upper?).

My argument is: If the boys have really lost respect for their coach, which I wouldn't blame them, then perhaps it wouldn't be bad to sack him even if its before the Milan game. The boys know what is at stake and they don't need Ranieri to tell them to be up for it. Let's be honest here, CR has made many many mistakes, what makes anyone here think he won't make another against Milan? I say just get the guy out of the club, whoever takes over will do for the remainder of the season. If the team is against CR, they may be motivated and refreshed mentally as they do not need to worry about their coach slaughtering the remaining chances they have this season....

Then again, I may be completely wrong.

Today he was talking about the lack of quality in our midfield but he didn't say a word about the defense.
Last week he said that he located the problems and he'll talk to the board about it.

Are we going after midfielders again instead of defenders? We won't buy another DMC, will we?

The thing is what does he mean about "quality" in our mid? Does he mean a quality DM or quality CM that can pass well and dictate the tempo?

I agree with this. From what I'm seeing, the coach has completely lost the team. Where are all of the players speaking out in his defense? NOWHERE. I think that having an assistant coach step in for the last few remaining games would bring a huge psychological boost to this team going forward - time to start a new chapter. I also think that firing Ranieri would specifically benefit Seba and certainly wouldn't hurt the chances of Trez staying with the club beyond this season.

Not to mention that if he's not going to be coaching the team next year, I don't want his influence/input to be present in our mercato. We definitely shouldn't hire a permanent head coach until after the season.

It would be nice to have a Rosella Sensi type at the club. Not just cuz she is bangin, but to tell it how it is. We have too many panzies without a backbone in the admin section of this club.
