Yup! King Alexander III of Macedonia, also known as Alexander the Great! Born around July twentieth, 356 B.C: died on June tenth, 323BC.

Did you think it was DP?
No. I said he was a forward because of the vast territory he conquered. He "forwarded" into Persia. What, do you think I'm stupid? :pumpkin:

Don't worry, I know about him, and I've seen the picture a thousand times.

It's not just about me. To think that anyone else in this world couldn't recognize that picture of Alexander is beyond all logic. It's one of the most famous depictions through history, and the Great Macedon himself is the number one "star" of all times. He was the role model of every aristocratic youngling ever since and as a more "recent" example: Swedish schoolchildren were tutored in his "virtues" in the 1600s. No wonder that Carl Gustav XII saddled up and went to conquer the world, eh? :eyebrows:

I don't think winning Serie B counts as a trophy though.
Though I don't think Serie A started using trophy award ceremonies for the Scudetto winner until two years ago. Both of which, of course, have been "invalidated".

I think he can play everywhere on the left flank, from leftback to left winger.
finally some 1 who knows a bit about our youngsters, .... neways i repeat just for the sake of it... de ceglie plays everywhere on the left, last year in primavera he was used as a central left attacking midfielder but he is good on left back and was also used as a striker at some point last season.... th eimpression i had last season is that he was a playmaker in the central midfield so it seems that he is also capable of that.....

Marchisio, Paro, De Ceglie, Venitucci, Palladino would probably be rotting in some 2nd zone team right now if we didn't play in B
Or still all at Siena!!!!

The positives of our relegation are many, here's my top few....
1. The loyalty shown by Ale, Gigi, Trezegol & Nedved
2. The change of manager..... the end of the Crapello era!!!!!
3. The change of stadium
4. The above named youth players actually playing for US, not loaned out again
5. The solidarity, loyalty & togetherness shown by us tifosi to our great club

non calcio senza Juve!!!!!!!!1

superb post juveadam, just one more point to add on yr list: juve now plays much better soccer compared to the previous two years, and the bonding between the players, dd, the management, and the supporters is just spectacular to see.

:agree:

See point 2, all your point relates to the "unfortunate" loss of Crapello, all his negativity & yes the introduction of a hungry young coach to guide our hungry young squad!:D

Not at all Jem83! I should have put a ;) after that question. Sorry!

I think our relegation has given us a "time out" to try out our young players, to regroup and strengthen our team spirit after being ripped apart by the "Calciopoli". It has also given others time to get over their anti-Juve fever the "Calciopoli" stirred up & they have now realised that there were people with ulterior motives behind our relegation. When we go back up, they will consider us more "cleansed" than the ones, who stayed in serie A.

I dont consider the positives of this relegation to outweight the negatives.

Remember guys, we won't really be able to asses the full damage of the relegation before this season is over. Especially financially wise.

Even if we do win Serie B we'll see whether we'll be immediately competitive for the scudetto. Im very optimistic, but its far from cetain.
