I second #8. Sh*t belongs in the toilet, not on the pitch.
Could not agree more, amico mio.

This also proves that Juve is Serie A--is, in short, calcio. We move into B, and the total attendance #'s of B exceed the total numbers in A.

Put another way: where Juve is, is Serie A.

I dont consider the positives of this relegation to outweight the negatives.
Haha that's for sure, but it makes no difference if we mope over the relegation constantly...

Remember guys, we won't really be able to asses the full damage of the relegation before this season is over. Especially financially wise.

Even if we do win Serie B we'll see whether we'll be immediately competitive for the scudetto. Im very optimistic, but its far from cetain.
Other teams have bounced back from worse financial situations. I'm thinking Fiorentina right now. And true, they have Della Valle to give them a boost and we have the Elkann brothers, but it's not impossible to become financially stable and functional. Maybe we won't be able to make big purchases in the transfer market, which will hurt, but being in Serie A will help by itself.

Scudetto's a dream. I'd be happy with a CL place for 2008/2009 season.

This squad (+ an acquisition or two) can surely challenge for the Scudetto against the carp that is in Serie A.

IMHO :)

I'm happy everyone here has their rose colored glasses on, looking at things in a "glass is half full" manner

but lets be honest, the team lost much of its core, and is losing a ton of money while doing this Serie B, Juventus tour 2006-07

My only satisfaction is that CRAPello is gone, but he'd of probably left anyways...

my memories of this season years down the road wont be of the young talent, nor all the small stadiums we played in, but rather having to hope that RAI International was going to show the damn games, and if they werent, what network would be streamable...and if not, would some kind soul be posting a torrent on the site to watch later.....along with the fact that the CL seems mighty empty without Juventus

yeah, a fucking great season we are having

Maybe so, Vinman. But at least for me, it's so much easier to like this team than to have to swallow the bitterness of putting up with the likes of Capello, Zlatan, Vieira, etc.

My sentiments exactly, Greg. But it does really suck having to play in Serie B, and it's going to take a lot of hard work to revert back to being Italy's top team year after year.

The influx of youth into this side is crucial to our future and if the Triad was still in charge perhaps we would be destined for a long-term slump such as the Milan of recent seasons and beyond. So it was my belief that at least a two-year slump was upon us, and therefore we would be suffering either way. It's good to see at least a few positives coming out of this terrible debacle.

It's going to be at least a good 2-to-3-year slump, IMO. We can feel good about our Serie B placement for the moment. But the truth is that if this team was in A right now we'd be scrapping to survive alongside Catania (at least with the injuries atm).

But the way the old team was headed, there seemed to be enough rot that was going to catch up with us anyway. Sucks to be in B, but I like the rebuilding that I am seeing.

De ceglie is a pure class. is he a left back or a midfield player cuz in yesterday's match DD uses hiim in the midfield i think ? :faq1:
He plays as a left back, left midfielder, left winger, even left forward, as long he plays on the left side. :smoke:

With all these positives of the relegation, I would still prefer playing in Serie A.

True, but on their debut season in serie A they we're almost instantly knocked back down to serie B. :D
How many seasons was it from the moment Fiorentina collapsed until last season?

I don't think the Elkann brothers will inject anymore money. Im not sure they have much to give, its not like Fiat is thriving at the momment.

But, Im hoping that the atmosphere of the team will carry them next season intoo becoming tittle contenders. I am a big fan of the underdog team. I have played for many teams with less induvidual skills but still maintained good wins, not pretty wins though, over higher skilled teams.

I think team spirit and togetherness will be the key next year, more so than this year.

I just hope when we get back to Serie A we learn from our experience in B and we trust in young players and not just loan them out to get experience.

Well heres something everyone seems to ignore. In a few years time, European rules will change and that a certain percentage of your team should be from the same country as the club, and a certain percentage should be home-grown and club-grown. Alot of clubs are having to work backwards e.g. add the requirements to the team they already have. We dont have to do that cos we already have the requirements and all we have to do is fill the gaps we need. So when teams will be struggling to find the perfect balance between the requirements and the big foreign names, we will already have had that figured out cos we started from scratch.

its complicated i hope i explained it right.

Inter are heading in the right direction, they will soon join the Argentinian league.

Fiorentina had 3 reasons of Serie C, Serie B and Serie A football before ending 4th in last season. It is almost impossible to expect the Scudetto next season instantly, probably it will take 2 seasons for us before we compete for it.

About FIAT, they are doing fantastic, best sales results im many, many years...

well i guess we all want our club to play in serie a, but we probably would end up in the last 3(this year, because of points reduction and big changes in the club), and that means, in 2007/2008 season we would enter serie b.
