Doesn't mean he can't be as effective to Juventus.
Ofc and I never said that. But he'd be a clear downgrade to Pogba as would any other midfielder.

Pogba and Verratti are completely different kinds of players, but since we got Pjanic I don't see how it makes sense to get the latter.
Pjanic can play as a b2b and as an attacking mid. They can both fit.

Verratti was a huge Juve fan. Idolized ADP. Get the king to call him and say son, come home and ddts. The question is how much would P$G want, provided he pushed for the move.

Verratti is unobtainable. Not even the Madrid's or Barca's of the world can get him. If Verratti asks to leave, PSG will simply bump his wages. Sorry people should stop bringing up his name. I dont want any of the James, Verratti fantasies thats been mentioned here because of the high costs and the difficulty of the deals.

If Pogba was putting up mega numbers I'd be terrified of losing him, but he isn't. He's a mega talent with good numbers, but also a marketing machine, his image is worth more than his value on the pitch. I'd be more worried about the financial and image loss than the technical one.

This reminds me a lot of the Zidane saga, the difference being their age and potential.

you don't really mean that, surely.

and it will be a huge technical loss too, he runs our offence.

10 goals and 14 assists in 49 games is pretty amazing and he provides 2.2 tackles per game.

but also a marketing machine
But this is the main reason why we have to keep him, if the club is indeed interested in catching up with Real or Barcelona in terms of earnings. By catching up I mean reducing the difference to acceptable level.

I don't think anyone wants him gone, I'd love for him to be here his whole career but we both know that's not gonna happen
imo, hes staying 100% this summer, next year we will see how things develop but right know i dont see him going

people already dream of teams that include Hamsik, Isco, Kroos, Kovacic, James, Verratti..., i cant feel but think that some might even want this to happen to see their fantasies come true. but even if he does go i dont see all these players come, maybe Kroos and Kovacic but thats it

Best we can do is sustain our position, I really doubt we have any chance closing that gap especially with the current state of serie A. Im more worried that we will see our position overtaken by the mega rich EPL teams.

Bayern has lousy competition and German league really doesn't have more appeal than Serie A but they closed the gap. Keeping the likes of Pogba and Dybala should be our priority.

If we start selling the likes of Dybala or Pogba because we can't afford to keep them, then Elkans & Agnelli's should consider selling the club. I think they have means to support our ambition, but they've been extremely frugal over the past few years, when it come to investing money into the club. I'm not talking about loans, but direct investment, which there hasn't been any for the past 5 years.

There's no way id prefer any of those options over pogba

Give me a realistic scenario where they would let him go

so many people will be disappointed when Pogba stays :touched:
Problem is he won't.

We should make the best out of this deal though. We lose a star and get another in James. Then we get Morata permantenly and maybe Kovacic on loan/option to buy for cheap. Maybe forget Kovacic and thrown in Kroos for half his normal price. Don't know, just hope we get the right replacements for Pogba.
