If we can require we'd keep him, point is we are the player's mercy

Holding someone to a contract they signed is not realistic? Fine, when did psg sell any player they wanted to keep? Remember what happened when barca came knocking
No team offered them Pogba who is an upgrade to what they'd be losing. My concern is if Pogba would want to go there instead of Spain.

If Pogba is interested in going to PSG and Verratti to Juventus (two ifs), I don't see why it couldn't happen. Especially since there is interest from other clubs. Even if PSG would prefer just getting Pogba without selling Verratti, it would still be a reasonable upgrade for them to make the trade.

if pogba wants to leave he will leave, simple as that. Fact is, Madrid and Barca (you can argue ManU and Bayern) had more appeal than us when we were at our strongest in the late 90s, so if Pogba decides he wants to go to Real all we can do is try to get the best deal for us and wish him luck.

Its business, just like any other job.

They can have both, if pogba wants to go they will just throw cash at us and we will have to accept, this idea that we can force their hand and get Verratti in exchange is silly
But since more clubs are interested, throwing in Verratti could be the decisive factor in getting Pogba.

We are going in circles, i don't see any possibility of us getting Verratti, that ship has long sailed

If Paul wants to go then we will sell. That's the clubs philosophy. So, if we are actually negotiating that's because Paul has asked us to do so.

I'm not sure if its just Raiola negotiating for the sake of it, or, if the club has actually set the wheels in motion because Paul asked?

We can easily sell him to Spain if it was just about money.

Yeah that didn't happen until Ronaldinho joined Barcelona and they won the CL, it was close as well, then Messi...

I think a lot of neutrals were just waiting for Barcelona to win things before it turned, they have always signed a lot of flair players, big names, but never pulled it together until then. We attract a different kind of fan, the Juve teams at our peak. Barcelona will always be associated with the flair and fancy, and they have the benefit of a super-hyped derby. We have no one currently.

I think you're underestimating Juve a bit. If he wants to go then there's no stopping him for sure, but I'm pretty sure we're gonna get the best possible outcome out of him.
He's a superstar, same would apply to messi in barcelona, he calls the shots, the club will obviously get as much money as they can, but as we know money ain't a problem for these guys

Exactly, at the time Serie A was the strongest league, with the 7 clubs competing for the title, even a few years later we had Inter and Milan winning the CL, now that time is gone.

Realistically, we are in the second tier of top clubs in Europe right now.

Tier 1 is Real, Barca, Bayern, the untouchables, as well as PSG and City (just because of the money)

Tier 2 would be us, Atletico, Chelsea, ManUtd (now because of the recent problems, when they get their shit together they're a tier 1 club), Arsenal
