Problem is he won't.

We should make the best out of this deal though. We lose a star and get another in James. Then we get Morata permantenly and maybe Kovacic on loan/option to buy for cheap. Maybe forget Kovacic and thrown in Kroos for half his normal price. Don't know, just hope we get the right replacements for Pogba.
Well see what happens but I dont think he will leave this summer. Real is transfer banned in 2017 so perhaps 2018 is the best moment to part for all parties involved, if Pogba really wants to leave

From the club with the richest owners lol we have 0 leverage they have unlimited funds

He can push all he wants they don't need the money
I know they can do that, but it's simply bad business benching him for the remaining years on his contract. That is not realistic at all.

There's no way id prefer any of those options over pogba

Give me a realistic scenario where they would let him go
Are you sure that others here wouldnt? I can't help but think there is a number of people here prefering for such deals to happe, rather than keeping Pogba, from reading this thread

exactly.

btw verratti recently extended his contract. he remains my dream signing (yes, i'm the type of guy who rates midfielders more than strikers, so i'd take verratti over messi, hit me), but he's clearly out of our reach.
Only for one extra year :beppe:

I think Raiola is talking bull$#@!. We will offer him a new contract and he'll stay another year.
exactly that's how it will turn out (wish).
Right now he earns 4,5 net they'll renew his contract to 6m net income and next year he'll prolly go. but not now else we'd have to build our midfield to 0 without Marchisio and with Half Season Sami

that's so stupid.
They won't bench him! he'll keep playing and get sold next year.
Look at Higuain he wanted to leave but Napoli said no and he even beat a record

I think he's already on 6M net.

But they are Sheikhs. They dont care about the money. As i said,if Verratti pushes for the move, they will bump his wages or if he still is making noise about leaving, they will simply freeze him out and Verratti wont go to such an extreme extent . Probably the most stubborn and ruthless board right now.

Bayern has lousy competition and German league really doesn't have more appeal than Serie A but they closed the gap.
German companies invested heavily in terms of merchandising and sponsorship for bayern. Theres a strong affiliation between Bayern and German cooperation's, of course there are other areas such as matchday income etc.

But I agree that if we have any chance to sustain or build on our position then players like pogba and dybala are pivotal. Likewise, im stating the obvious but crucial to it all is winning the Champions league. However if the price is right then even likes of bayern would sell their star players but i guess due to its global position not many stars would want to leave Allianz arena and likewise bayern are not out to sell them either.

It is not about the money. There are things you just don't do.

Think about it. Why would they refuse to get Pogba if they were to lose Verratti? What you're claiming is they'd rather lose both.

Sorry, i dint know you included Pogba in the discussion. If then ,i agree. But right now, trying to deal with PSG for their players without having a pawn will be just hell. You wont go anywhere.

Obviously it would require that we'd demand Verratti in return for Pogba. But I doubt they'd turn such an offer down.
If we can require we'd keep him, point is we are the player's mercy

Holding someone to a contract they signed is not realistic? Fine, when did psg sell any player they wanted to keep? Remember what happened when barca came knocking

The tricky thing would be the convince Pogba of going to PSG...
