Balzaretti is moving up to have the same quality as Zambro. I think he'll be a key player soon, he just needs to defend better. The quality of his crosses are excellent.

Agent denies Pasqual talk Monday 28 May, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina defender Manuel Pasqual is not close to joining Juventus, according to the player’s agent.

The Viola youngster has recently been paired with the Old Lady, as the Bianconeri look to strengthen their squad in view of the immediate return to Serie A, but the news was not confirmed by the former Arezzo man’s representative.

“Juve are interested in Pasqual? This is the first time I have heard about it,” said Gastone Rizzato to radiofiorentina.it.

“In any case, there is no truth in these reports. It is flattering for us to hear that an important outfit like Juventus is interested in the player, but at the time being the only club which can decide Pasqual’s future is Fiorentina,” added the Gigliato’s agent.

“Manuel is very glad to be here, with this team and in this city that has done so much for him and to whom he will always be grateful. Furthermore, the club management is pleased with his performances.”

Pasqual was included in Roberto Donadoni’s Italy squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers with the Faroe Islands and Lithuania on June 2 and 6.

I'm getting sick of all this shit what media is talking! :( Pasqual to Juve. We already have fucking Chiellini and Balza who are both better than this guy and we really don't need him eaven to bench! If this deal happens I'm gonna hang Secco from his balls!:(

None of you seem to have Greygera in your thoughts. Is he bad? I havent seen him at Ajax, I must have seen him with Czech NT but I definately dont remember him (in the Czech team doesnt Ulfalusi play at RB).

Well I'd expect us to conceed a hat full if that's our defence. Chiellini is not good enough for a Juve CB. I don't think Pasqual would like RB either.

I'd like to see:

Balzaretti Marquez Barzagli Chiellini

:agree: Juve bought Balza because they considered him to be similar to zambro.

:agree: Definately, but he's going to have to work hard.
He loves his football, he will put in whatever work is necessary.

how old is Balza? if he's close to 25, then i guess we can keep him n expect growth!
He is 25.

Why do we need an LB? Maybe we can use him as a tweener LM/LB, but we still have Balzaretti who is a perfect backup to Chiellini who is the top young LB in Italy. Chiellini is going to be GREAT and the best part is that he is really good right now. Why would we move Chiellini to CB. That is beyond stupid. He is a top notch LB and an adequate alternative at CB. Pasqual is pointless, but if he likes sitting on the bench and playing out of position, lets pick him up.

I think Chiellini will end up as a CB and will become a very good CB. Maybe not next season but sooner or later. His physique is more suited to CB and he isn't that good going forward.
